Historic places - I forgot a Guide name who gave lots of information about history, culture and city. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Trip from Punta Cana to... - Trip from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo was about 2hrs. Both the bus driver (I don't know his name) and the tour guide David were friendly and professional. We visited all the places mentioned in the tour description. It was a nice and fun experience.

Love it! - The tour was very nice. As expected! The tour guide are very informative and knowledgeable about the history of Santo Domingo! Their energy was contagious! The only thing I would change it’s the amount of time for bathroom breaks! They should have one more on each way!

A little bit of everything - The tour started on a low note with a completely disrespectful driver. He made us feel unsafe and we almost turned back. But, we decided to keep course knowing that we would eventually transfer to a coach bus and a different driver. The tour was a full house, and while I wish they wouldn't have packed it so much, we met lots of amazing travelers. The BEST part of the tour was the guide, Miguel, who gave an amazing, engaging, bilingual tour. He even shared some cool facts outside of the normal script, such as Eugenio Ma. de Hostos' opposition to colonialism when we passed by his tomb. We stopped by three shops, and the last two were definitely the best (El Mercado Colonial and La Casa de los Dulces). I recommend waiting for souvenir shopping here. (El Mercado colonial has a clean restroom too!) You can stay on the bus if you don't want to get off at the small stops (such as who-know-who's tomb). I also tried the best papaya I'd ever had in my life at the restaurant we ate at. I strongly recommend finding fruit in Santo Domingo if you can (especially if you are staying at a resort).

Long day in the bus with some side adventures - This was a pretty good day and activity. However, we spent about the first 4 hours in the bus, despite the travel time itself being just over 2 hours. Lots of waiting around for other people and the tour to get sorted. Once we were in Santo Domingo we really enjoyed a lot of the sites and the tour itself. The place they took us for lunch (not the one listed) was decent food but the canopy over the front started on fire while we were there, but they eventually were able to put it out. One of our favorite spots was La Calle Damas and the Tres Ojos national park was awesome! The ride back and subsequent waiting for drop off took almost as long. Our biggest complaint was that we missed our dinner appointment at our resort because the tour took 13 hours of our day.

Beautiful City But Don't Do This Tour - Driver turned up late, told 7.45am came at 8.05am. Stopped at petrol station to collect passengers was there 45 minutes, the bus was then full 47 passengers when told 27 max. Drove to collect guide stopped for bathroom break at his friends shop for 20 minutes were there 40 minutes. Went to first stop at 12pm the caves, couldn't do whole experience as guide told us too many of us? Saw 3 of 4 lakes. Second and third stop we stopped on road to take photos. Then got Lunch about 1.45pm restaurant was too small for amount of people on bus, food was buffet total chaos, only 3 bathroom cubicles between both sexes! Lunch had to be extended as we ate in sittings! Next was walking part of tour went to cathedral pantheon fantastic history and buildings. Then to a "market" which was guides friend, same one from first stop, second shop. Stop was far too long people were tired just wanted to get back on bus and head home. Finished tour and started to head back at 5pm rush hour..were told we would back for approx 6pm. Got back to Punta Cana petrol station at 7.30pm then moved put on small bus and were dropped at our hotel at 8.15pm. Over 12 hours after the trip started. The sites we stopped at were beautiful, guide was very knowledgeable but this was too dragged out could have been much smoother experience. Highly recommend visiting Santo Domingo but everything felt rushed as we spent so long at shop stops.

Frustrating - This tour was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. What was advertised as a day of cultural immersion turned into a marathon of frustration. The trip dragged on for what felt like an eternity, with countless delays caused by people who couldn't seem to stick with the group. These stragglers repeatedly wandered off, forcing everyone else to waste time waiting for them to be found. It happened over and over again, completely ruining the experience. The tour was supposed to cover eight stops, but in reality, we barely got to see any of them properly. The itinerary was misleading and left us feeling shortchanged. And to make matters worse, the whole thing ran way longer than expected, turning what should have been a manageable day trip into an exhausting ordeal. The lunch provided was another disappointment. There wasn’t nearly enough space for everyone, and we were crammed into a sweltering room that was far too hot and uncomfortable. The food was mediocre at best, and the whole experience was anything but enjoyable. Even though the guide was friendly and knowledgeable, they couldn’t make up for the constant interruptions and the overall disorganization of the tour. What should have been an enlightening journey through Santo Domingo ended up being a complete waste of time. I wouldn’t recommend this tour to anyone unless you enjoy being stuck in a never-ending loop of frustration. We were not dropped off until right around 8:30 pm. We were told that it would only run until 6:00 pm, however, the bus driver who took us home had to keep stopping to pick up new people and drop them off. I want to emphasize again that the tour guide and bus driver were great. Our problems with the tour were not with them. They did everything they were supposed to, and our favorite thing about the day trip was conversing with the tour guide. I just wish it had been structured better and that people would be more considerate of other people’s time.

Waste of time and money - 6 of 10 people and driver could not speak English. Road all the way to Santo Domingo with him speaking Spanish. There were no cold drinks or water just loud music. This was time and money wasted that we can never get back. Trip consisted of driving by the president home and capitol asking us to take a picture in front of ths gates, stopping at Columbus burial to take picture in front., walk through of cathedral, lunch, and stop at several small shops trying to get us to but stuff. Bilingual guide joined us in santo Domingo
