Best DR tour - The 3 lakes in the cave. Our tour guide Miguel was so kind & helpful. My daughter & I experienced the tour most informative. We have been to DR before but never had the opportunity to go on the tour. It was worth every penny. The lunch was really nice & filling.

We wanted a one day city... - We wanted a one day city trip and ended up with a private guide . He toured us throughout all the places . We were a family of four with 2 3yr boys and a double stroller .you don’t need to feel pressured to buy as they take you to souvenir stores unless you want to buy. We even asked for a quick stop to a fast food burger king for my picky son who only eats chicken nuggets as we walked through the colonial city . Our tour guide was very great in explaining the history and we didn’t feel rushed throughout the day.

Great sites...average tour - The visit to the Three Eyes State Park was the highlight. However the tour guide seemed to be more interested in hurrying us through the sites in Zona Colonial and instead herded us into one store after another so that we would buy souvenirs, and jewelery. In fact, the itinerary clearly mentioned 45 minutes at each location, but we were only given 15 so that he could use the time to move us into one store after the other. I am sure that this was being done for commission. There are many great sites to see in Santo Domingo, but overall we felt robbed of the experience by doing this tour.

DON'T BOOK THIS TOUR - This tour was a total rip off. I chose it over all of the other tous becuse I am staying in Santo Domingo and they picked up from my hotel. The tour was supposed to be 6 hous but it was only 4 1/2 hours. My pickup was 30 minutes late then I had to wait to join a group coming from Punta Cana so the tour started 1 hour late. The online description said entry/admission to the Fort, Columbus Lighthouse and the Palace. We only stopped at these 3 places for a quick explanation and photo op. The monestary was not mentioned. Lunch was OK. Buffet style so you saw what you were going to eat and chose what you wanted. 3 Eyes National Park is 164 steps up and down so if you are not used to walking it's a lot. My legs are very sore a day later and I exercise and walk everyday. Overall I am very disappointed and I am going to request at least half a refund.

Be aware of what you are booking - The tour operator wanted to pick up over 30 minutes before tour agreement because of their schedule. Could not do it and this is when I learned it was not a private tour as arranged 7 other people in the 15 seat van. really need to get this straight as it seems to be a scam.
