This 500-year-old Gothic-style building remains a key site for official ceremonies and religious celebrations. A tour of the interior reveals the cathedral’s ornate Gothic ceiling, colonial-era oil paintings, sacred chapel rooms, and an area with gravestones containing the remains of archbishops. The remains of Christopher Columbus were discovered here in the 19th century.
