You will embark on an exciting journey through the lanes of the historical district, encountering magnificent edifices dating back to the early 16th century. These include the Alcázar de Colón, the Primada Cathedral, and the Ozama Fortress to name a few. A fascinating exploration of the region can be undertaken by entering through the El Conde gate. This leads to a pedestrian roadway, which is in front of Independencia Park and stretches across the entire district up to the Ozama River. Along the bank, you will come across a multitude of historical buildings signifying the origins of the city and tracing its expansion inland. Needless to say, for a small fee, you can gain access to these significant monuments. Our journey concludes at Plaza España, where you get to see prime attractions of the Colonial City. Landmarks such as Colón Park, the Ozama Fortress, the Cathedral, the National Pantheon, or Alcázar de Colón progressively unfold as you traverse through this corridor of history.
