Recommended - Our guide, Nelio, showed up 5 minutes before the designated meeting time, he is a good driver and speaks excellent English. We visited some great sightseeing points and museums, Nelio is knowledgeable about the region and its history, he explained things very well and answered all of our questions.

Amazing tour and exceptional guide, Marcio! - Márcio is an exceptional guide, who provided me an extended tour of southern SP in and around Santos at the very last minute. I booked this tour less than 30 minutes before he picked me up at my hotel. He speaks excellent English (as well as multiple other languages) and customized/personalized the tour exactly to my liking. He showed me an incredible restaurant in São Vicente and shared his extensive knowledge of history and culture in SP. I cannot recommend him and GregTurs highly enough. This was an OUTSTANDING TOUR AND MARCIO IS AMAZING ❤️

Great day with Danilo - I was very happy to do this tour, it’s a beautiful drive outside São Paulo that takes you to the beach which would be difficult for a tourist to do without a knowledgeable guide. I felt very comfortable in a nice vehicle and my guide let me decide on many options to make my experience most best. He also made sure to bring back in time for a early dinner I had planned which I was very appreciative of. Obrigado!

A truly memorable day - Danilo took us on this amazing tour. We had had him as our guide on a different tour the day before and were delighted to find we had him again. He was a very responsive and flexible guide tailoring the tour to us. He quickly picked up what we were interested in. We drove to the port of Santos and Danilo gave us a tour of the historic centre and a fascinating explanation about it’s history and culture. We could have visited other places there but we were keen to maximise our time on the beach in Guaruja so we briefly visited the beach and port area of Santos and then took the ferry to to Guaruja. Danilo took us to a beautiful, idyllic part of the beach and we had a fabulous afternoon there. He gave us space to enjoy the beach as a family whilst looking after us beautifully. Santos and the beach were quite a drive from the city. Danilo was a great driver. We thoroughly enjoyed Danilo’s thoughtful, interesting and informative conversation and the time flew. His English is absolutely excellent. My husband and 2 grown up daughters loved the tour and thought Danilo was an excellent and lovely guide. It was a truly memorable day. We all felt sad to say goodbye to Danilo. I cannot recommend this tour and Danilo as a guide too highly.

Don't Bother - This was easily the worse tour experience I have ever had, especially for the price, which at the time I took the tour was over US$500 for two people. 1. The tour guide did speak English, but not very well. Kudos to him for learning more than one language, but the experience led to much confusion and a diminished experience. 2. The "historic cultural downtown" was a drive by and hand wave. 3. The Monte Serrat funicular was ok but we had all figured out by then that the language barrier was going to be a problem. I learned more by looking at the Wikipedia page after the tour. 3. The Coffee Museum was somewhat interesting but again the tour guide skipped through a lot of the exhibits because of the language barrier. 4. We chose to skip the Santos Beach because he said it was not as good as the Guaruja beach. Why would that even be a tour stop? 5. We did go to Guaruja beach which was.....fine. It's not any better or worse than any other Caribbean beach other than the water is colder. We ordered fried shrimp and they brought peel-n-eat shrimp that was not deveined. The meat filled pastry was a little better but greasy. I did love the pina colada made from fresh fruit. 6. The last stop was a lookout point over the Guaruja beach. That had pretty views. The tour lasted 6 hours - off the ship at 9 am and back to the ship by 3 pm, so we paid nearly $100/hour for a bad tour. Other people on our cruise paid US$30 for a taxi to Santos Beach, or a little more for a taxi Guaruja Beach. Should we ever return to Santos, we will do the same or just stay on the ship. This tour is a terrible value.
