Not only Elephants - We were greeted by Joel our guide for the day at the Port entrance he explained that although we had booked a private tour he would get us back to the ship on time explaining how the company’s worked together if anything was to go wrong on the trip. He was pleased that our ship wasn’t leaving till late and he would give us a good day without any time constraints. Water and binoculars were provided and the bus was made for 22 passengers but there are only 10 people on the trip so everyone had a great view. I was only expecting to see Elephants but we saw many other animals, it was amazing. We stopped for a BBQ lunch freshly cooked by Joel’s assistant along with wine and beer. If the morning was good then the afternoon was outstanding spotting many more animals. I cannot recommend this company enough. Joel was very knowledgeable and he forwarded photographs of the day by email that he had taken with his new camera toy gifted by his family Many thanks to Joel and his wife for a great day

Amazing safari day - We loved our safari tour with Joel! We saw lions, zebras, elephants very close by, monkeys, warthogs, and antelopes. The weather wasn’t the best but Joel cheered us up and it was absolutely worth it going there that day. We were very impressed with our lunch that Joel prepared/grilled for us. It was delicious and exceeded our expectations- he even had vegetarian food options that were amazing. We would book this trip again.

A fantastic day out - 'It is what it is' as our guide/owner Joel would say. An entertaining full day out with plenty of animals to see, Joel was a knowledgeable, friendly guide looking after us and we couldn't fault any of it. Special mention to Amos for 'cheffing' the wonderful braai and Joel's wife for behind the scenes organization. A nice touch was the extensive collection of photos of the day Joel shared. We will 'See you when we see you'.

Unique authentic experience - What a unique, authentic, breathtaking adventure ! Many thanks to Joel and his wife Loreen for setting up a delicious traditional South African lunch. We loved the way Joel welcomed us into the process. It felt like a perfect cooking class! Besides the wonderful nature experience and all the fascinating creatures that African nature has to offer, this journey would not have been so remarkable without you, Joel. Thanks for sharing your safari eyes, knowledge of nature and wildlife. Thank you for your effort and your jokes along the road. We had the best time! We hope to see you again someday! Much love from us Matthias & Shervin

Truly Breathtaking amazing experience. - Did the full day Addo Elephant National Park. Hesitated because my spouse and I were afraid that we were not able to sight too many animals in their natural state. But fret not the entire experience with Joel is far from AMAZING. Because Joel was such an amazing guide, we even did a second half day morning tour at Kragga Kamma Game Reserve to see the other animals we did not managed to catch. He is not only knowledgeable and shared very detailed and small interesting facts about the animals, he also have crazy eye sight. We rushed from one place to another to look at those animals upclose though individual binoculars were provided as well. It is such a magical moment when the animals are just right beside you. Joel is also super funny and entertaining and the best part is that he makes you feel extremely comfortable and like family. He is also very thoughtful and plans for the little minor details. From providing us with the option of wine, cider, soda, juice, water, snacks and even blankets just in case we were cold. Even the traditional African food he served whipped up was AMAZING. From the home-made sauce, to the salad and the juice chicken, beef, extremely fresh Kale and handmade Fufu. He had it all well planned out. Honestly him cooking the traditional food itself was an activity we truly enjoyed. It was almost like a cooking show. Vehicle is really clean and comfortable. Joel, allowed us to have the best of both worlds, by giving up the regular vehicle and also the open top safari vehicles. Honestly, this tour is the highlight of our entire trip. I would highly recommend anyone to go for the tour, especially if you want an amazing experience and would love to impress someone, because I know you would be in great hands. Especially if its your first time in a national park safari, trust me you'll need an amazing guide.

Don’t hesitate to book a day with Joel for Addo! - We just returned from our day with Joel. He picked us up from the Cruise Ship dock in a 22 seat vehicle in which he only takes 11 people max so everyone can have a window seat and switch sides easily depending on the animal activity. We were only 7 so had lots of space. The animals in Addo were plentiful if not too varied that day, but we enjoyed watching all that we saw. They were so easy to see and photograph- Joel made sure we all had the best opportunity possible for viewing in this great natural setting. Joel’s skills at the braai for lunch were over the top! Such a thoughtful and delicious meal in the middle of the park is something we won’t soon forget. Joel is a great host and ambassador for Addo. We enjoyed his company and were so impressed with his hospitality. Supporting an independent business was especially gratifying for us too.

A wonderful adventure with Joel. - Joel from African Sighting Adventure is so wonderful as our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and he has a very sharp eye sight. As you know Addo Elephant National Park is not a private park that raises animals for tourists taking pictures, it is a park that let animals live freely and survive on their own. We saw a lot of Elephants, Zebras, Warthog, Ostrich, Buffalo etc but is hard to spot a lion or a rhino. Joel could spot them faraway and we used binoculars to observes them at a distance. He has a passion being a Safari tourist guide, he drove us inside the park almost the whole day consistently exchanging information about the whereabouts of animals with other Safari l guides. He is a good cook also. He cooked his native food for us with delicious steak, chicken skewers and sausages. My wife and I have a wonderful time.
