Excellent tour with an excellent guide - This was truely an excellent and eye opening tour. Mak was an excellent tour guide, incredibly knowledgeable. This is a small intimate tour. There was just four of us, which was perfect as it gave us time to be able to interact and ask questions. This tour should be something any tourist should go on whilst in Sarajevo to understand the history of the country. Thank you Mak for this superb tour.

An extremely worthwhile tour - We did this excellent tour with Mak. His sharing of his personal experience of the war, and the effect of it on his family added even more to the deep knowledge and understanding he was able to give us of the siege and also the wider context of the conflict. He took us to many places of cultural and historical importance and always ensured that we understood his explanations. He was also always aware of our personal comfort. Detailed and informative tour of the whole of Sarajevo - A wonderful tour with Mac, a very informative and personalised tour with lots of personal stories shared with thanks. Mac didn’t rush us and made sure we had all our questions answered. Well thought-through I would recommend this tour to all visitors to Sarajevo to place the city in the context of its recent past, but also to learn from Mac about the hope for the future.

Amazing tour - Mak our tour guide was not only an amazing person at heart but also an incredible story teller. He had vast amounts of knowledge and information which was all shared in a very systematic way. For a person of very little knowledge of this genocide I found it extremely easy to understand and follow the tour. The main reason for picking this tour was solely based on hearing it from someone who had personally been through this horrific ordeal. It was sad and difficult to listen to Mak and his families personal journey but it was incredibly humbling to hear it from a survivors point of view. He executed the tour professionally and kept us engaged throughout the tour. I've been to many tours around the world and I must admit this was one of the best ones for me. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this tour and in turn will encourage others to book with Mak. An authentic and honest account of the war with an educated approach to it. I had seen other tour guides on the way and felt so lucky we had booked roses of Sarahevo with Mak.

He was able to give us facts as well as share personal experiences which really added to the experience and helped bring it to life even more. Don't waste your time with the other tours. This is the tour to book! - If you want to learn what happened during the war in Sarajevo, this is the tour to take. Mak is passionate about conveying the history and the current struggles in Sarajevo, but he also left us with a sense of hope for the future. No questions were off limits. This is one of those tours that will stick with you and you'll talk about long after your trip is over.

Must do in Sarajevo! - The tour with Mak was the highlight of our holiday in Sarajevo. Until today, we still got the chill recalling the stories he told us. He was very knowledgeable and good at story telling. The tour was not packed at all and well spaced out for enough rest. We asked him a lot of questions, and he was passionate to answer everything. We could read about the Bosnian war in books, but it was different to hear it from a person who went through it. The powerful moment in this tour was he sharing his own personal story during the siege of Sarajevo. We are really glad to have joined this tour. Do this tour not the other ones! - Great tour with Mak. We knew very little of the history of the war, only on a high-level of there being a war and the split of Yugoslavia. Mak made sense of everything, when we were driving through town, then to stops and connected everything throughout the tour. We had a small group of 2 plus a stranger in the tour, and it was great and Mak answered all our questions. Do this tour!!
