Sarajevo boasts a vibrant subculture of street art. Historically, following the 1995 siege, the city was 95% damaged and left in a bleak, colorless state. Each piece on the walls tells a story about our…

One of the highlights of our trip! - Spending 2 hours wandering the streets and seeing the street art of Sarajevo was simply wonderful. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the art as well as life in Sarajevo now and in the past. He enriched our knowledge and we found an enhanced love for the city that we hadn’t felt before. Thankyou so much.

Don't miss it! - Ado, my Guide, filled the city of Sarajevo not only with color, but also with discovery. It took me to places I would never get to, coloring everything with careful and in-depth stories. The world of street art in Sarajevo is a world that needs to be discovered and that plays an important role in rebirth, but also in communication and memory. Absolutely not to be missed

The other side of Sarajevo - Such a great way to see the city from a different side! You can find all the main sites yourself, and Google the details - this tour introduces you to some of Sarajevo's modern culture, while also providing information about Bosnian and Sarajevo history through the artworks. Ado, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. 10/10 everyone visiting Sarajevo should do this tour ❤️

Fascinating glimpse into local art - My partner and I had a great time on this tour, strolling through Sarajevo with Mak and learning about the local street art scene. Sarajevo of course has a rich artistic and architectural history, but the tour is an opportunity to see art that would be easy to miss if sticking to the typical tourist routes and that shows how the aesthetic of the city continues to evolve. Mak is an excellent and friendly guide and it was great to hear directly from someone so familiar with the works and people who created them. We came away with a sense of Sarajevo as a city where people live, work, socialize and pursue their passions, and we are so glad we tried this tour.

Interesting context around street art in Sarajevo - Visited several different murals in and around the centre. My guide, Ado, provided not only information about the meaning and importance of each piece, but also some broader context for the pieces, including recent history and contemporary culture. Great way to see another side of Sarajevo. This was a private tour, easily arranged over email.

Great experience with Art and Tours - I booked 2 tours with Art and Tours: Roses of Sarajevo (with Mak) and Street Art (with Adnan). Mak and Adnan were very professional and friendly; they were happy to reply to questions and share personal stories tied to landmarks. Both tours were definitely worth it and taught me a lot about the city past and present. I had a wonderful time and I would absolutely recommend both tours to anyone visiting Sarajevo!

5 star Sarajevo - Mak is my brother from another Jamaican mother. I did this tour pretty last minute and Mak was super accommodating. He took me around and explained the history of the city, what some of the art means and why it was created. He showed me so many beautiful pieces of art that I would never have seen by myself. He also spoke great English and helped me find some cool souvenirs for the family.I definitely want to return and maybe do some of the other tours that this company offers

A great experience - I have learned a lot about street art in Sarajevo. Mak, my guide, have made the most to explain a person like me (with no idea about street art) the early history of street art in the city. Now I look at the walls searching for examples (like the blue flowers ;))

Great walk around the city and its art expressions - If you like to see the local art Expressions when you visit a city, this tour is perfect for you. My guide Mak has explained me every mural and graffiti that we saw around the city. And he doesn’t talk only about street art, he gives a lot of curious information about the city and its history. Thanks Mak, it was a great experience; you made me look with other eyes the city and its walls. I will never forget the lovely story of the blue flowers ;-)
