Exciting visit into the past. - The different ruins were all interesting but our guide Tony's descriptions and explanations of historical context brought them all into vivid life.

A tour to remember. Value for money. - A wonderful place to visit especially for history lovers. Awesome remains. Walking constantly in the shade of the trees made it easy and comfortable. Our guide Alban was great with good command of english. He knows his job very well. Agreat guide.

beautiful Butrint - Butrint is an incredible historical site. It’s also a beautiful national park. The combination is unbeatable.

Amazing Day at Butrint - What an amazing day at Butrint! Gerdi was a fantastic guide and took us through the whole of Butrint, explaining the ruins as we went. Since it is quite a huge park with very little information posted, I recommend booking this tour to get the full experience.

Go to Butrint with Viator - Definitely worth a visit. We had a great guide, knowledgeable, caring and extremely pleasant. Some of the paths and steps were tricky for my wife. Girt was very patient and helpful.

Great tour but poor arrangements by Viator - Our tour guide Tony was excellent and his information and knowledge really brought the site to life for us hence the very good score. I would recommend Butrint as a site to visit. However the booking through Viator needs some improvement and I would score Viator much lower. We had booked the tour for 3.30pm. Shortly before this we had a message saying they couldn’t do the tour due to the heat and asking us the swap to the next day. We eventually managed to book for 5.30pm but the tour guide told us they only usually do tours in the morning so this does need resolving between Viator and the local tour company. Also the car had no useable seat belts in the back.

Exciting - Interesting historical place. And the guide was good at softening the story. Remember good shoes, as the terrain is uneven. And there are quite a few stairs and the bridge which are uneven.

Gert gave us the best experience in Albania - Our tour guide was amazing and gave us the best tour we could have wished for! Even the more critical ones in our group were mesmerised by his engaging storytelling - we really can’t recommend Gert enough! We had some trouble at our pick-up spot. First of all the office hadn’t received the tour we ordered the night before. We were supposed to go at 10:30, but ended up with being rebooked to 16:45. Because the guide had difficulties with locating our apartment, the tour first started at 17:30. Waiting was frustrating, especially since we only were in contact with the viator office, and not the guide directly. We were offered a refund for one of our friends who had an appointment later that night, which we appreciated. Still we would recommend to contact Gert directly, write a more general pick up point, or do the transport to Butrint by yourself. Although the waiting was frustrating, we now look back at the tour around Butrint as the best experience we had in Albania. Gert spiked our curiosity more than any history teacher has ever done!

Memorable experience in wonderful historical site. - Butrint is located in a stunningly beautiful setting. The site itself is extensive and our guide was knowledgeable and very interesting. We were collected from our hotel on schedule and our bags were kindly stored for us in the company office. The whole trip was seamlessly organised. We really enjoyed our visit.

Sorry I missed this - Unfortunately the tour company did not pick me up as arranged in booking and I had to cancel the excursion.
