Pretty Harbour; interesting cultural mix: Nice City - This is a nice city. The harbor is really pretty so that is what stands out to me. It is a little claustrophobic with all the big hotels crowding the small town. Aside from the pretty harbor which i enjoyed, I really liked the mix of culture there. I went into a cafe and there was a "telenovela" or soap opera playing on the tv and I noticed it was in Greek. The people in Sarande speak both Albanian and Greek becasue it is so close both to the border of Greece and it;s the jumping off point to go to the island of Corfu. So the culture is what I really liked about this town. It is too sunny and hot for me. I like places by the sea with a lot more green.

SARANDË / KSAMIL - They are not yet ready for tourism. They can't have a little kindness, they are distrustful. They get annoyed and look bad. They are slow in services and the prices are almost like in Italy. It's not true that 'YOU SAVE'. The streets are narrow and traffic is blocked, so you cannot visit the city by car. But on foot, or with a scooter at best. The attractions are not organized. An agreed upon jet ski ride of 30' x €60 after 18m with a watch made us return and they started shouting at us. The tour with the sailing ship from 11:00 to 6 islands with a stop for 2 hours for lunch on a particular island, we only sailed to 2 islands for 30' and we had to eat a sandwich on the sailing ship itself for a total of 30 per person + 11 for lunch. At 4.30pm docked in Saranda again. I'm sorry to have to review the place in a negative way, but unfortunately they are not ready for an advanced tourism like that of 2023. There is no public transport to serve the city in order to entice tourists. To travel from Saranda to Ksamil it takes approximately 1h40m//from Saranda to Tirana 3h45m // without highways or fast roads. The only thing they have that is good is the food. Everyone knows how to cook! A destination that will no longer be chosen by us personally! 👎
