• Gunung Gading National Park - A professional, English-speaking guide will meet you in the lobby of your Kuching city hotel at approximately 8:00am. You’ll be transported in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan to Gunung Gading National Park, located roughly 53 miles (85km) from Kuching city. The 1.5-hour drive will take you through local villages and farms until you arrive at the quaint town of Lundu.

Upon reaching Gunung Gading National Park, our quest will be to find the extraordinary Rafflesia flower. The hike to waterfall No. 7, which takes about 4-5 hours, is where we hope to spot this unique bloom. It’s advisable to carry extra water and wear suitable footwear for walking or trekking.

As we traverse the trail, we’ll encounter several waterfalls and our guide will provide insights about the park. The terrain can be rugged, with uphill and steep sections. Relish the crisp, fresh air and observe the diverse plant and animal life, including birds and occasional wildlife. The Rafflesia’s flowering is unpredictable and short-lived, so while we hope for a sighting, it’s not guaranteed.

If you’re up for it, take a dip in the invigorating waterfalls or the natural pools near the park station. Remember that darkness falls early in the rainforest, so plan your return to the park entrance accordingly, as staying overnight in the forest is not allowed.

After an eventful day, we’ll ensure your safe return to your hotel in the evening.
