Late/Little Information - We were excited about this tour, but it did not go as planned. We were supposed to leave at 8am and received a text that they would come at 830. By 915, we were worried and no one responded on WhatsApp. The tour guide didn't come until 930 and stood outside in an unlabeled van until one of our group asked if they were with Asni tours. When we finally got to the Park, we were let out the van with no instructions. So, we just stood there for a bit until someone asked about the bathroom. Before we got on the trail, the guide showed us the Rafflesia board with information but said nothing. We had no idea how far we would be hiking. While walking up the hill, the guide showed us 2-3 plants and provided a little information, but they did not wait for the other half of the group to get up the hill. We saw the caged bud. Again, no information was provided, and our group had to ask questions to learn about the lifecycle of Rafflesia. As the guide walked up the hill, one of our group members spotted an open flower, so we were excited to see that. We walked down to the waterfall area, but the driver was struggling with the hike. One of our group members gave him water and made sure he was okay. Almost everything I learned and saw on the tour was thanks to our group members, so paying for the guide was almost useless. He did talk a lot at the end but about his farm and not about what we were seeing. For the price, we expected more than just a ride to and from the park.
