Explore the remarkable sites of the “Golden Triangle” on this exclusive sightseeing tour with live commentary.
Begin with a private guided tour of Richard the Lionheart’s castle at Beynac (replaced by a visit to Castelnaud castle from January to mid-February as Beynac castle will be closed). Next, stop at the base of Castelnaud Castle, a striking fortress held by the English during the Hundred Years’ War. Then, enjoy a guided tour of La Roque Gageac, one of France’s most picturesque villages, nestled into the cliffs along the Dordogne river.
Continue to the hilltop village of Domme for stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. Stroll through the village to soak in the local ambiance.
Visit the medieval village of Montfort. Pause at a Romanesque church from the 12th century, built on an ancient Celtic worship site, before returning to Sarlat-la-Canéda.
