Awesome tour! - Ben was our tour guide. It was great being in the quiet part of the redwoods. Seeing the waterfall was awesome.

Muir woods - Beautiful, easy hike. Then we added another 4 miles on and it got steep. Was a geat workout!! We made reservations on line to park and had no problems.

Forest bathing + beautiful hiking trail - I couldn't recommend enough for this tour. You know there is a concept from Japan called Forest bathing therapy. This tour will bring you exactly that healing feeling simply by being in the forest, among the breathtaking redwood. Ben was our main tour guide (alongside with Greg) and he was very knowledgeable and personable. He used to be a travel writer and a local too. It explains a lot about the pleasant and informative tour he gave us. He explained not just about the eco system, the evolution of the Redwood but also told us mythical stories around the forest, anecdote about a celeb who was a local there (I won't tell the name to avoid spoiler :). The hiking trail is not very strenuous, a couple of high slopes but still within tolerance (I'm not a very sporty person btw). We felt so lucky that we made it to this tour after missing the first one because we were late for the ferry. So make sure you have enough time to catch the 10am ferry to Sausalito because you definitely don't want to miss this tour.

Fantastic tour! - My wife and I went on a private tour with Ben through Muir Woods and had a fantastic time! Ben picked us up from the Sausalito ferry and gave us several options for where we could head for the day, based on how long we wanted to spend and how adventurous we were feeling. We wound up hiking around Mt Tam and through Muir Woods, which was incredible. Ben is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area, having grown up there. It’s a nice bonus that he’s also a photographer and will get great pictures of you, if you want. When we were done, he dropped us off at the Golden Gate Bridge overlook so we could walk the bridge back (it’s longer than it looks). We had an excellent time and it was definitely a highlight of the trip.

Beautiful Redwoods hike! - The Sausalito Mill Valley hiking tour is an INCREDIBLE hike through the Redwood forest! We took the Ferry from SF to Sausalito where Ben picked us up and drove over to Mill Valley. From there we walked through an incredible neighborhood with beautiful homes built up the hill alongside gorgeous redwoods. The trail led up the mountain and we saw a serene waterfall, as well as beautiful scenic views. The forest is incredible and Ben is so knowledgeable about the trees and plants, as well as the history of the town. He is a local and has wonderful stories about the area's past. The group is kept small, about 5 people, which is so nice because the hike is very intimate and interactive (unlike big bus tours to Muir Woods). It is a fantastic hike, and well worth the trip outside of SF. You really feel one with nature on this adventure! As a bonus, on the ferry back we saw the Golden Gate bridge in front of the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. Would highly recommend this tour! Ben is a wonderful guide and a great person to get travel tips from!
