Fantastic trip with lots of great photo opportunities - Brilliant trip . The guides are superb. Go early in the morning when it's less busy. Definitely need beach shoes and a waterproof phone case.

Worth the drive - We have 6 teenagers and they all agree the excursion was worth the 2-hour drive from our Negril resort. We hadn't expected the drive to be that long that day, but it was a good way to see more of Jamaica. The falls were beautiful and our family enjoyed swinging and jumping in. The only hiccup was that we didn't bring water shoes which may have been recommended in the info but we didn't catch that detail if it was. All 8 of us had to purchase the $10 water shoes (which could have been worse) at the gift shop before going in. We could have elected not to, but we were glad we did in the end because of the rocks. As an FYI (because I like to know these things), there's a gift shop, restaurant, and convenience snacks and drinks at YS Falls if needed. There's also a changing area and restrooms of course. The second half of the excursion was the Black River safari starting with lunch. Our kids really liked the food. The boat safari was wonderful. There were several huge crocodiles, one of which was 75 years old and 18 feet long. It was massive. I just wanted to denote that because we've been on other crocodile excursions in the states and we were disappointed by only seeing a few really small ones. The driver was nice and the shuttle was comfortable. All in all I would recommend this trip, but be prepared for a long day that's half driving. We left at 8am and were back to our Negril resort at 4:30pm.

Awesome day out - Brilliant day trip visiting this wonderful part of Jamaica . The YS falls are beautiful and the guides that take you across the rocks are fantastic and will take all your photos for you . The black river boat trip was great getting up real close to the crocs and very educational too if you love the wildlife. Our guide was giving us all the history of Jamaica and life on the island on the drive down which from Montego Bay is around 2 hours so be prepared for a bouncy ride as the roads are worse than the uk ( if that’s even possible) but well worth the travel time for such a great experience.

Worth the time and money - Clive (the driver) was fun and knowledgeable and even stopped for us to be able to buy some sunscreen from a local place and avoid the resort prices, although the cheapest sunscreen was actually at YS Falls' gift shop. The drive from Negril was roughly 1.5 hours and you get to see a lot of the island. There are tour guides when you get to the falls, they try to keep you moving to avoid groups getting bunched up and crowding the various pools, try to go early in the day to avoid the crowds. The lower pools are fine for enjoying the experience so you can get through the upper pools first and relax later. There is also interesting wild life and scenery to explore as it is very much like a public park in the States. The lunch at the Black River tour was great. Fried chicken with pineapple sauce, red peas and rice, and curried goat are served buffet style belong side Papaya juice and water. You only get one trip but they serve you enough that you won't need another. The tour is fun and you'll see some crocodiles and fish and birds, the more questions you ask, the better it will be.

YS falls & Black river boat safari - Both were great tours. Enjoyed the Black River Safari. The boat operator had such great humour that I could have lived on that boat forever. He kept us overwhelmingly entertained! We laughed so much. Crocodile sightings were great & amazing. Thank you for a great boat tour.

An excellent experience - This is a great tour my family of five had an amazing time, the only downfall was we would have appreciated more time at the falls. We didn’t have much time to enjoy the natural pools.

Tour cancelled by Operator - One day before starting the tour the operator cancelled the booking since the minimum booking figure was not reached yet. Refund of paid money is on the way, anyhow quite a disappointment!

Beware, half of YS falls is closed and they don’t tell you… - The experience was okay, half of the YS falls are shut down so you could only go in the bottom part and take pictures. No swimming and that’s the whole reason we booked it. I Requested a partial refund because that wasn’t stated anywhere in the booking and they denied it. The black river safari was fun, the tour guide there was super knowledgeable and taught us a lot.

They cancelled at 8pm the night before - They cancelled the booking at 8pm the night before because they said they didnt have enough bookings. I was supposed to be picked up at 8am. I already spoked to someone on the phone hours prior because no one contacted me to confirm the pickup time. Unacceptable. I had to scramble to replace them and pay out of pocket for the replacement excursion because the refund for this booking was going to take days. I did receive my money back from Viator with no issues.
