Additional Information

Noble Jones Architect Tour is an opportunity to walk and learn about Savannah’s architecture and the architects behind the buildings. The guest limit is capped at ten people for this tour, giving our guests the opportunity to ask questions and have a more personal experience with our guides.

Architecture is the material essence of the city. In just over one century, five men became the soul of the movement to match the beauty of the square design of our city. This tour discusses those architects, their backgrounds and how Savannah came to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

This guided walking tour of the historic district includes an examination of the historic homes and buildings from 1817 through 1923. An interpretation of the architect’s works and contributions to the city is discussed.

So, so much to see and learn while enjoying the walk through the squares. - The stories of the lives of the architects were as interesting as the buildings they designed. The history of the period, choices made or changed, creativity within limits of building materials, the effect of changing weather patterns, who ruled, who paid and why brought a personal touch to appreciate the city even more. If we had had more time, I would have booked this tour again.

An Afternoon To Remember - It was a beautiful sunny afternoon in Savannah. Our tour guide, Kelsey Palko, met us at Oglethorpe Square at the start of our tour. Tall and handsome with a warm smile, Kelsey gave us a remarkable walk through the streets and squares of the Savannah historic district. Without rushing he shared detailed descriptions of the five major architects who designed the beautiful buildings and homes that we saw. His knowledge is thorough and he answered our questions in detail. We are locals of Savannah and this was our first time doing a walking tour of the city. It was a personal tour that we will always remember. Can't wait to tell our guests to do it!!! Thank you very much!!

A must see tour while visiting Savannah! - Everything was memorable! The guide was knowledgeable and witty! He was very thorough and spent a lot of time explaining the architects styles and lives, which helps you remember. This tour was a full two hours of walking but could easily be longer due to all the beautiful homes and buildings.
