Best Cemetery Tour I've Experienced - Time well spent! Went on the after-hours tour to scout locations for A Joyful Rebellion Podcast and learned SO much on this tour that I'd never heard on any others. The azaleas and Wisteria were popping all over Bonaventure. I would recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Savannah.

Interesting historical and personal history of cemetery and many buried there. - Beautiful spring day for Bonaventure tour. Richard was an excellent tour guide; informative, organized, friendly, entertaining. Definitely recommend this tour. If going solo, without a guide, one would never acquire the information received. The historical and personal history of many buried there is enlightening.

A great experience! - Shannon Scott is amazing! He has spent decades uncovering the true stories behind some of the most infamous people buried at Bonaventure Cemetery. What a great way to experience some of the "forbidden" history of Savannah!

Excellent Tour - A Must Do - There is no better way to visit this historic cemetery. Our guide and interpreter, Paschal, was excellent. We learned the history of the cemetery and about some of its oldest residents, what certain headstone symbols mean, how certain sayings came about, and more. My daughters were exhausted before our tour even began and I am sure Paschal felt they were not interested; however, they loved the tour and we all learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour. We will visit again!

Bonaventure cemetery tour - Great insights into the history and early people of Savannah. Rich was very knowledgeable with lots of interesting background stories that brought the cemetery back to life. The cemetery itself is a serene place to just walk around. It would have been good to have a car but Uber was an inexpensive way to get there and back from the city.

A great day, well worth your time. - We had a group of 6 and did a private tour that was wonderful. Full Disclosure - we did get off to a late start because of an issue outside of Mr. Scotts control BUT it was handled well. Stuff happens and Mr. Scott was gracious, accommodating, and more than made up for it and isn't that what you want? Someone who takes care of their customers? Anyway, if your looking for the same old stories you can find in the books and guides this wasn't the right place. Every story we heard was one relayed to Mr. Scott by those involved. Well researched, very knowledgeable, something different and well worth it. We will definitely tour with him again if/when we get back to Savannah..

EXCELLENT TOUR - Our guide Paschal was knowledgable, engaging, a perfect host for our tour of Bonaventure Cemetery. He really brought you to the time periods with his historical knowledge of the families and plots. I learned so much about the symbolism of the different headstones, and the story each tells of those that had passed on. This is a must do! It is worth every minute of the 2 hour tour! When you finish you have a whole new appreciation for places like this!

Highly recommend. - We really enjoyed his personal stories. He took his time and has a personal investment in the cemetery. Very knowledgeable of the history and to expound on anything of interest to our group. Its not just a job to him, his passion for the history of this city and cemetery were very evident.
