My husband and I had a... - My husband and I had a great time getting to know downtown Savannah, in a fun but laid-back and creative way.

Great family fun - We did this with 4 kids, ages 8-12. We had a lot of fun and they are looking forward to doing another. We enjoyed as parents because it was educational and we all learned something. It was something different to do. The only hiccup was a provided hint saying the answer rhymed with “charcoal”. The answer does not rhyme with charcoal, but rhymes with the word “otter”. Good luck, fellow pirates!

Do own your own time-GREAT, FUN, historic adventure. - Great way to learn some history about Savannah. You do walk around 2.2 miles, up and down stairs-but you won’t even notice!

A Family Fun Pirate Adventure - We really enjoyed the Savannah Waterfront City Exploration Game. We had fun solving the clues while learning so much about Savannah. Great experience for all ages so families can have fun working together in solving clues. It took my group about an hour and a half to complete so we still had time to do and see other things in the city. My only suggestion is to have some type of prize or reward at the end of the adventure. It seemed to end very abruptly. Highly recommended!!

Fun Adventure - It was fun and kind of felt like the DaVince Code experience, rushing against time and running away from the baddies. Though…I did secretly want to be a pirate, but we chose to escape.

Wouldn't do it again - From the moment we began the "hunt" til we quit it was a time-consuming and confusing feat. We were just passing thru the city on a road trip with our 5 yr old and had little time to see the city. We thought this adventure would be fun. When we arrived at the meeting point that was linked with the game it was a restaurant and the host inside had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about the game. There was no one physically there to check my ticket so we had to just contact assistance thru the app. (Also there is no point in buying more than one ticket to save money if you're interested.) That helped and we were on our way. The game was fun at first but as we got further a long there were clues to landmarks that we couldn't find even with the maps with the game. Eventually it got to be close to dark and we called it quits because we didn't feel safe walking around at night in an unfamiliar city with our little one.

I wouldn’t call it ideal…. - The game was good in theory, but poorly executed. There were multiple issues that left a lot to be desired. Unforeseen construction created issues getting to all the locations, forcing us to contact the app assistance to get the answer to the clue. The delay started the loss of interest in the game. Then, the clues that followed were not accurate to the changing landscape or could not be located at all, in terms of landmarks. Then the clues were impossible to follow because the routes were not clear. Lastly, the game had us backtracking to previous locations to progress, which was frustrating, going back literally feet from a previous clue. I expected it would continue in a linear fashion. By the time we were having to go back, we were no longer interested, but finished the game anyway. At least we got to see some sights and it was only $20. Caveat emptor….

Fun Idea Frustrating Execution - The concept of this is truly genius. We got to sightsee Savannah and learn much about the city as the game took us to many historical spots. The puzzles were not. Often times we are trying to solve for X and the answer is Y. We found it very frustrating. One example was to unscramble the question below. We unscrambled it only to be told nope. We spent ten more minutes rewriting, capitalizing, etc. We finally gave up only to find out the answer was the answer to the question, not to unscramble the question.
