Highly recommend! - This tour was incredibly meaningful and informative. Instead of romanticizing plantation life, the tour detailed the harsh realities of slavery in U.S. history. There were several things I learned that should be well known, but probably aren’t. For instance, I learned the location of the Savannah slave auction block that sold thousands of humans, the Weeping Time when the skies broke out with rain after a huge slave sale, the legacy of Susie King Taylor and her newly named Savannah square, and the Whipping Tree located in the slave cemetery. It was all quite interesting. I highly recommend this tour!

Excellent “real” history lesson - This tour is truly amazing and sure to stir up so many emotions which is typical for many African Americans when we discuss the history of slavery in America. Ms. Roz was an amazing guide and full of information and I admire her for her courage and willingness to speak the truth. If you’re ready for a “real” history lesson and open to the truth many don’t want taught, this is the tour for you.
