I loved the tour. Mama Pat was amazingly experienced, knowledgeable, passionate and intentional. - I gained a deeper understanding of the journey from Slavery to Freedom in Savannah and, more importantly, the reality that freedom in this country has never been equitable across ethnicities. The fight for true freedom and justice remains an ongoing struggle.

Tours in Savannah - Unfortunately, due to a medical emergency, the tour was canceled today. However, the tour company gave us a free tour. We were able to book for next week.

Wonderful Storied Tour of Savannah - This guided bus tour was an emotional experience, learning about the other side of Savannah’s history that is not rightly acknowledged by the city. It takes you through the city, including the riverfront and many beautiful squares, and tells the story of slavery. The guide is a “truth-teller” who mixes her own personal stories into the history of Savannah and its dependence on slaves. It is a very powerful tour, and I enjoyed our guide’s genuine approach to the story.

Highlight of our trip - Highlight of our trip to Savannah. Recommend you do this early on your trip. There are a lot of places you will want to go back and spend time taking in the history (and how it is and is not acknowledged by the city of Savannah). Bryan Stevenson posits that that first there needs to be truth and then there can be reconciliation. Sister Pat provides the truth.

Amazing Tour - This was an excellent activity. It was my husband, two teenagers, and myself. Sista Patt was an amazing storyteller and we were grateful to get her perspective. We all enjoyed this more than any other tour we did in Savannah. If you want to hear about the history of Savannah and the contributions of the enslaved peoples, this is your tour.
