Our guide Mary was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable of the area and all of the local plants and animals, but more importantly she handled the group well. There was a family with an unhappy child on our tour and Mary made sure that everyone else still had a great time.
My wife and I highly recommend Kayak Hilton Head and we will be back!

I think that you should advertise the 6:30 tour as a sunset tour.... watching the fireworks from the dock is not what I was expecting.

We had a great time. Saw tons of dolphins and our guide, Mary, was very knowledgeable. She looked out for everyone in the group. Our feedback would be to review the manner in which you present historical information and your choice of words. For ex, we were told that "many runaway slaves came to the island", although it is important to note that most of the black Americans who settled on Hilton Head were either abandoned by slave owners or freed and had earned the land. (Hilton Head is very famous for Mitchelville, the first self-governed freedmen's town in the U.S.!) I also think you can contemporize the narrative about Hilton "discovering" the island. No one says that Europeans discovered the Americas anymore. We did some historical tours in Charleston that did a great job of accurately describing and reflecting upon actions of various peoples in the past, so I know it's possible to be more inclusive in your historical narrative.

Great experience and highly recommend! Mary was our group leader who is an excellent instructor and shares information about the island (history, wildlife, creek, etc.). Family trip - 9 and 12 year olds. Older daughter had her own kayak and did fine, younger daughter did a 2-man kayak with father. Easy to control the kayaks. Trip was great and then watched fireworks from their dock without all the congestion of others! Thank you for the trip and look forward to doing it again next year.
