Spectacular Views from the Top! - We did this hike self-guided and followed our path on AllTrails. There are loads of tree roots on the path so that you have to look at your feet so I hit my head on low overhanging tree branches several times! Most of the hike was fairly easy despite this except for the final ascent where there are ropes to help you reach the top. I wouldn’t attempt this in the rain as it is muddy if it’s been raining recently and very steep. We were happily surprised to find a bench at the top and we enjoyed our picnic there admiring the spectacular views over the Indian Ocean. It’s a bit sad that we found rubbish at the top. Surely hikers know to take away food wrappers & plastic bottles. Anyway, it’s a fabulous hike and provided one of our most enjoyable activities in Mauritius for 2 folk in their 60s.
