Amazing surf trip lesson and experience! - Highly recommend Marea Surf School for surf trips and lessons! Miguel and his team are all so friendly and welcoming, and it truly is one of the best experiences Sayulita has to offer especially if you're a beginner like me. I had a lesson at La Lancha with Victor who is an incredible instructor - he was patient, kind, and helped build my confidence on the board. Thank you Miguel and Victor for an amazing experience!

The best experience I could have asked for! - Miguel and the crew are the absolute best! He was able to rent surfboards to me and all of my friends and then took us out on a perfect surf trip. I will 100% be going back to Marea Surf School the next time I am in Sayulita.

A wonderful surf experience - This was such a great experience. My son and I were in Sayulita for 10 days, and we previously did a surf lesson a day or so before- we happened to walk by Maria and walked in out of curiosity. They were so cool and chill, didn’t try and do an intense pressure sell or anything. We decided to do a 20 min drive to La Lancha beach and it was incredible. Victor and Ali (the instructors) were the BEST! Super patient and helpful- but also really knowledgeable. Can’t recommend them enough

Powerful Experience - My family (2 adults and 2 teens) joined Miguel and Jose on a beautiful morning to try surfing for the very first time. We loved the open air drive to a stunning bunch listening to music and taking in the jungle. Miguel was patient and clear on the beach about how to get up and then we were in! We all got up and actually surfed and felt safe and excited at the same time! What an experience! Not an inexpensive morning but worth every penny! Thanks!

Great lesson and experience - This experience was exactly what I was hoping for. The beach we went to was not too far but far less crowded than in Sayulita and the waves were perfect. There were maybe 10 or so in the group total but not everyone did a lesson. I was glad the lesson was just me and another student to one instructor, plenty of personalized attention and the instructor was very mindful of our different experience levels and capabilities. I really enjoyed hanging out on the beach after and talking with others in the group too. By the end of the day we were all surf buds. Very much recommend!

True Sayulita Adventure - What a great time! The ride to and from the beach in the surf mobile with awesome tunes was a lot of fun. Max was a great instructor, and the location could not have been better. We highly recommend this surf adventure.

Authentic adventure and experience! - From beginning to end a great experience. If you are looking for an adventure and epic experience this is it! Fun ride in the back of a truck through the jungle with a great and very friendly guide to a secluded beach by the jungle. Caught tons of waves, felt very save, and the instructor was perfect.

Excellent teachers and experience!! - I highly recommend working with Marea Surf School if want to learn how to surf while enjoying a beautiful beach and better company! Our instructors (Miguel, Max, and Eduardo) are all incredibly skilled surfers and teachers, and successfully helped each one of us (with zero experience and a wide range of coordination) catch some waves!! We had the best time and would absolutely come back!!

Bad experience - I recently had a very bad experience with this school which clearly lacks professionalism and communication.
In fact I had contacted Lara on WhatsApp to make 5 promotional trips to Lancha who told me it was ok and to come to the school. Arriving there Miguel told me that they don't do Lancha trips and disappointed but still wanting to surf I rented the board for 5 days for 2000 pesos but in fact I learned that the next day they were taking a beginner to the Lancha. I asked them if I could go there and they asked me to pay 600 pesos extra for the trip. They both got mad at me and ended up telling me I could go to the Lancha and not rent the board for the week but they were very rude to me the whole week and made me feel good the whole time. week that I was not welcome in their club after having paid them 2500 pesos. I had a really bad time and forced myself to go surfing all week in this bad atmosphere because I didn't want to lose the money.
For me it is still not clear why they acted like that and I have the deep feeling that they were interested in my money and not in having a good time surfing and taking me to ds place for intermediate level and surf with pleasure.
