Pleasant hike - We enjoyed this hike with Jair which makes this beautiful place accessible safely for tourists unfamiliar with the place. This guide is friendly, very attentive and attentive. This activity was perfect for spending the excess of an all-inclusive without being totally exhausting. The coconut that was offered was the perfect replenishment to rehydrate well on the way home. We recommend!

Worth doing! - You’ll need a certain fitness level to do this. Not extreme by any stretch, but it is a decent climb, with a bit of a rock scramble at the end. You are also expected to keep up, to a certain degree. My wife found it a struggle that day, so we were at the back all the way up. Jair is very patient though and stopped the group on several occasions, so no issues there. You just start to feel bad you’re holding the group up. Put it this way, if you’re driving around Sayulita in a golf cart because you find the hills a struggle to walk, you may not want to pick this activity. But if you’re steady on your feet, a fitness level of say 3.5 or above and are looking to sweat out some of your tequila, this is a great way to do it! I also like the fact it’s close to Sayulita, so you don’t end up spending to long time stuck in a car driving to the starting point. The little town of Higuera Blanca (starting point and where you’ll eat dinner) is also something you’d likely never experience otherwise, and it was quite pleasant.

Great afternoon hike and dinner - Jair was awesome!!! We took our family of 6 and had an amazing hike! I would not have been able to navigate the hike without a guide and he was really great! The coconut juice was a Godsend near the end of the hike. The dinner of taquitos and beef and beans was delectable, the guacamole and pico de gallo the best we’ve had so far! So glad we went with Jair! Very reasonably priced as well. What a great day and memory we made!

Fantastic hike and experience with Jair at Monkey Mountain - Had a Great Day hiking up Monkey Mountain ! Jair looked after us very well and was very prepared. He was a really good guide — very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife I would highly recommend him. We got to see a Coatimundi at the top of the mountain and had a very nice local experience dining after the hike.

Highlight of Sayulita ! - You can’t control the weather but you can turn it into an amazing experience. Jair is very knowledgeable of his region. He is giving you a tour you will remember. You are leaving with a lot of information about the flore, fauna, and traditions.. Sharing what his region has to offer is his main goal. He is truly genuine, kind and caring about your needs. Reaching the top of the mountain is something; whether it is sunny or cloudy. I went when it was cloudy but seriously the vibe at the top is something to experience! If you want a nice hike with a bit of climbing, the tour is for you!

Fun, educational, and rewarding hike with the best tour guide! - My friends and I had an incredibly fun and memorable hiking experience with Jair. He is not only very knowledgeable about the native plants and animals, but is also a great conversationalist and fun to be around. Some of the many highlights were the stunning views of the ocean and land from the top, the delicious dinner from a local restaurant (they were even accommodating of my vegan diet!), learning about and seeing in person some of the native plants and animals, and all the jokes and laughter along the way. Can’t recommend it enough!
