Fabulous haunted tour through old Scarborough! - This was my second time taking part in the ghost tour, this time with a different group of friends. Just like the first time, Liah ensured we all had an amazing evening with loads of fabulous stories. She is really knowledgeable on the various (ghost) stories and does a great job relaying all this. The last time, during summer of this year, the tour included a trip with the funicular but as the funicular only runs in summer months, this time we had a slightly different route which was equally great. You can tell Liah cares about her clients, ensures all have a great time listening to her stories and the outfit she wears as the black widow is just the cherry on top! I would recommend anyone to book with her and have a great evening!

A fantastic tour of Scarborough history and legend! - Me and my auntie are locals, and were delighted to finally see someone doing a history & ghost tour in Scarborough. The Black Widow was a great host, taking us around hotspots of Scarborough's old quarter, Bar Street, up to the Grand Hotel and finally the Spa bridge for a moonlit view of the sea and castle headland. We both agreed she was a lovely lady, a great performer, and very informative. She told us that she did a Masters in History and used this experience to sift through archival documents in the local library. This gave the tour real credibility and showed a true dedication to Scarborough history and legend. A truly authentic experience with a spooky twist, hinting about ghosts from local folklore and myth. She does Scarborough proud!

Interesting and fun - I really enjoyed this … went in Oct …such a fun evening and learnt about some of the dark history of Scarborough…..pity that the lift is not an option in winter, but still a very enjoyable walk…and it all ends at the famous Grand hotel which is perfect for a nightcap!!!!

Excellent Tour, NOT scary so don't be afraid! - An excellent evening with a very knowledgeable Black Widow, lots of information, about local 'celebrities' who lived, and/or died in the town given in an easy-to-listen-to manner. Thank you Liah, wishing you many more successful Ghost Tours in beautiful Scarborough 👻

Fabulous experience! - The Black Widow was engaging and told a mix of legend and historical facts which, being born and raised in Scarborough, I had little knowledge of, and such a reasonable price! I would absolutely recommend this experience!

Don't bother - This was a long walk (including down a very narrow, steep and dark set of steps) with little content. The stories were v long-winded and not particularly interesting and certainly not scary. Met some lovely people, hence the 2 stars.

Shame! - Sadly not as advertised. While the black widow is a lovely lady. She is NOT Scarborough born or bred. Most of the "stories" told are just that a story and ring no truth to a true Scarborough born person and might I add an historic old town family. I quote outside ask Italian " we now enter the old town" hate to tell you but 90% of your tour is the old town. The black widow gives a good performance but that is all it is a performance. While most of the "stories" have an element of truth it is an element, this is certainly a performance. As part of our group is a sensitive to the paranormal there are ways known to those who are sensitive to know the truth sadly those markers were not prevalent on this walk. Sadly will not recommend or return. My advice speak to those who know the history of the town.

Not a ghost in sight - Where do you start. Very nice lady, sadly not Scarborough born and bred, only lived here 2 years only doing the tour a few months. We were really hoping for some surprises but sadly none to be had. One of us is a sensitive, but nothing said rang true. Anywhere below the Market is 'old Scarborough', she implied being down on the prom was 'old Scarborough', it is but then most of the tour was in 'old Scarborough'. Waste of money, save your hard earned dosh, Google it and have a free walk round the old town. Far more interesting places we could have been shown.
