We loved this. - Laetitia was wonderful and spoke plenty of English. It was down-home Martinique food and the fritters we made were out of this world. All the food was delicious and i especially loved that she served it all to us out by her pool. It wasn’t fancy, but it was perfect.

Good Experience - We had a great time. The faciiity was very clean and easy to work in. Since we were the only 2 in the class we had the opportuniy to do a lot of the prep work. We learned some new ways to prepare food and certainly enjoyed eating what we prepared! A big thanks to our guide as she took us to a grocery store to experience shopping on the island.

Excellent class and lots of fun - Laetitia ran the class with lots of charm and grace. Switching back and forth from English and French as the class was mixed. We learned a lot about the wonderful food we experienced on Martinique and were happy to be able to recreate some dishes to get us through the chilly Parisian winter. Highly recommend the class.

Terrific host, lovely experience. - Laetitia was very welcoming and the food was delicious with some very authentic, island specific ingredients. My husband and I were joined by another family of five. After cooking we enjoyed a lovely meal and conversation. Definitely recommend this activity for those interested in cooking.

“Good” food. Sweet chef. Not much instruction. - My family signed up for this cooking class, and we indeed did have fun. All of the ingredients were there and we received some great aprons. Was a little disappointed at the lack of instruction, tips, tricks, secrets to making a recipe go from good to exquisite. We basically chopped, grated, mixed, and assembled. I would have loved more instruction such as “The secret to making the chicken tender in this dish is to _______.” Or , By adding the ____ first, you can really make the flavors pop.”, or “Be sure to start at this temperature, then simmer at this temperature.” Our chef/host was incredibly sweet and seemed to be knowledgeable in Creole cooking, but I must admit that I wasn’t incredibly impressed with the result of the main dish. The chicken was dry and the curry lacked depth of flavor. The cod fritters and custard dessert were excellent.

Not particularly inspiring - Laëtitia was very friendly, as was her father. The most memorable part was having refused help to carry three plates, she dropped one on my foot.
The table where we worked was very low, not good if you’re tall. Laëtitia said we could dry our hands on a tea towel, which she later used to dry glasses.
The recipes she said would be sent by email the following day never arrived.
