Amazing 5 star experience - Absolutely amazing day we were collected from the hotel and taken out on a diving boat to a lovely scenic diving location. We were able to swim in the beautiful location before and after our diving experience. The instructors were so helpful and were there to assist throughout. Food was provided and we purchased the pictures and videos from trip and are both over the moon.

The staff were all fantastic, they made us feel comfortable and safe throughout anwe were well catered to. - We booked this through Viator and our tour was arranged by TourMania. TourMania then arranged for us to be taken out by a local company in Bodrum called Blue Escape. The staff were all fantastic, they made us feel comfortable and safe throughout, we were well catered to and lunch was great, I appreciate there are some negative reviews on this experience but I really do struggle to fault anything other than them being cheeky over us taking a GoPro with us (outlined below). We had booked a similar experience direct through TUI for £55 and they cancelled due to low uptake, I would imagine due to it being close to the end of the summer season. However Blue Escape, Viator and TourMania were happy to run the tour with only 5 people which was great. We also only booked this experience two days before we were due to go and everything went smoothly. They ran the experience for around £30, were happy to pick us up from our hotel (which is around 5km from Bodrum) and return us there for no extra charge. I cannot fault our tour guides at all, Viator confirmed the booking within minutes and provided a voucher. TourMania were in contact via WhatsApp and arranged a time for us to be collected the previous day. They sent a private shuttle to pick us up from our hotel (which is a lot further out than other providers were willing to provide transfers for). The shuttle then picked some other travellers up from another hotel and we made our way to the boat. We then arrived at the boat that was operated by Blue Escape. We were out on our way by around 10am. We were taken through a safety briefing in English and the instructors made sure we were all comfortable and happy. We then anchored up close to Kara Ada. We were kitted up by the instructors and went through some basic breathing instructions to make sure we were still comfortable and happy. We then dove and had some photographs taken and a video before going off for a ten minute dive. We then returned to the surface and de-kitted whilst the other group went through their dive. We then kitted up for a second time and went down on a second dive that lasted for around 10-15 minutes and we were able to go out a little further than the first dive. We were then brought back to boat for lunch which we’re home made muffins, chicken kebabs and fruits. Once we had all finished our lunch we were able to view our pictures and videos and then we returned to Bodrum. The experience from pick up to drop off lasted 4-5 hours. A few things, we brought a GoPro with us to film the fish and surroundings we were told we couldn’t take it with us as it was ‘too dangerous’ I found it a bit cheeky as there would have been no issue taking it, it seemed like a money grabbing scheme to buy their photographs. Albeit the photos were €25 or 250 ₺ (Turkish Lira) so not badly priced at all, that includes 50+ photos per person and a video and they’re very good quality. If you plan on buying your photos then take cash as although Viator state there is a card machine on board, there isn’t. However, the staff were amazing they just airdropped all the photos and videos direct to my phone and on our transfer back to the hotel we were dropped at ATM and were able to pay for our photos which was really helpful rather than just being told ‘no’ because we didn’t have cash. This is my first time scuba diving and I would definitely have no hesitation in going again particularly with this experience if I happy to visit Bodrum again in future!

Not too bad - Diving into clear blue Mediterranean water was awesome, food served/provided on board of the vessel was good but did not include drinks. paid extra. Instructors were friendly and patient. Hygiene is whole another story.
