São Pedro - Every of our customers are impressed with this experience never seen before in Cape Verde, not long ago young sea turtles started to appear in the bay of São Pedro, a small fishing village located 15 minutes from the center of Mindelo, this is now attracting hundreds of nationals and visitors to have a look and to swim with the turtles and learn about the behavior of one of the sweetest creatures on the planet.
After picking you up from your hotel or Porto Grande pier in Mindelo, we’ll drive to Sao Pedro beach and there your highly qualified tour guide will be waiting for you, ready with a greeting and a short safety briefing.
then you will enter the fishing boat slowly and drive away from the beach where the turtles are, after throwing food into the water the turtles start to approach the boat, wauuu!! what a magical moment worth the whole journey.
you will go down in the water and swim with the turtles.
Due to security measures, touching the turtles is not allowed.
some security measures are taken for the protection of the turtles and also for your safety.
At the end of the experience we will take you back to your hotel safely.

When dreams come true. Up close and personal with sea turtles! - The tour was a great experience. From the pick-up to the information about the turtles to the swimming itself. Perfect!

Excellent experience - It was an excellent experience, I was afraid not to find the turtles on the bay, but was amazed when I get there, plenty of turtles followed us when we got on the water, amazing... worth of money.

A great experience - This was really wonderful. Such amazing creatures and we loved being so close to them. We didn't really swim, we stayed in the same spot and they swam around us. I would recommend this activity.

Highlight and very special! - I was lucky enough to swim out from the beach alone with Ricardo with fins and goggles (and even a shorty wetsuit). That was perfect because it meant I was much more mobile than the people who "only" went into the water from the boat with diving goggles.
There were always 6 or 7 turtles near the boat the whole time (that's where they were "fed"), and they weren't at all afraid of people and you could really watch them in peace and up close.
Ricardo gave a good introduction and always kept an eye on whether everything was OK. Definitely my highlight after 2 weeks on Bia Vista, Santiago and Sai Vincente.

Magic moment - Magic moment
We left with the Sana samana boat. Our guide Sa Ricardo gave us confidence.
The turtles came to brush against us.
We were able to caress their shell.
We got there around 9:30 a.m. The sea was calm and turquoise blue.

Try this experience - It was a very awesome experience, it was like the village fishermen have these turtles trained. The turtles came when they heard the fishing boats motor which signaled to them it was feeding time. As many as 6 turtles gathered around the boat ready to eat and that’s what the guides do, they threw in food.

Such an amazing experience - I booked this tour today morming and I was impressed with so amazing journey, met the guys the beach in Mindelo and dealed with them, for such an amazing tour, first time in my like was so close to the sea turtles and could swim with them, verry profissional team, I recommend it...

Magnificent but poor equipment. - Extraordinary place, lots of turtles that brush against you, magnificent in turquoise water but lack of equipment, rough water and waves so a life jacket for safety or even letting yourself float cool would have been good. No fins either.

need to be able to get on and off boat without ladder - We were taken to a scruffy beach where we were required to clamber into a tiny rowing boat with 6 other participants. The boat was beached in shallow water and had a small outboard motor. They boat was then forceibly manhandled into the sea. On reaching the turtle area close to shore we were given snorkel kit and told to sit on side of boat and lower ourselves into the water.To get back on we had to be dragged up by our arms. No ladder. Fearing injury only 5 of the 8 on board got into the water. We saw several turtles whilst still sat on the boat. Not worth the money, don't recommend this trip.
