Onward Adventures Tour of Seaside and Astoria - I was so fortunate to have found Katie!!! I was the only person on the tour that day, but that didn’t deter her. She welcomed me and said that she loved solos because she could get one-on-one feedback. Lucky me.☺️ We visited a lot of places, and each one was interesting and beautiful in its own way. I let Katie know that I loved history and was not much interested in breweries, and so she tailor-made the tour to my taste. She picked me up on time from my hotel in Seaside, and we started the tour with a visit to the Lewis and Clark Saltworks. The tour lasted 7 hours and we visited several places like the Painted Rock Beach in Seaside, Lewis and Clark National Historical Park ( Fort Clatsop), Shively Park, Flavel House Museum, Pier 39 Cannery Museum, Fort Stevens, Peter Iredale Shipwreck, South Jetty, and Battery Russel. She drove extensively through Astoria to show me various landmarks and lovely houses while explaining the history of Astoria in an engaging and lively manner. Katie made me feel so comfortable and relaxed that it was almost like sitting next to a knowledgeable and close friend who was driving me around and showing me the sights of Oregon’s gorgeous North Coast. I really appreciate that she took me to so many wonderful places that I would otherwise never have seen. Katie is just the nicest person and an amazing tour guide, and I couldn’t ask for anything more! I highly recommend Onward Adventures, and Katie is the best!!!

Fabulous Tour of Spectacular Northwest Oregon - My guide, Katie, gave me a tour of the area that was above and beyond my expectations. She picked me up at my door promptly at 10am and showed me around the storybook-like town of Astoria. She knew the area very well and told me historical and fun facts about the different landmarks. She then took me to several beautiful locations that I never would have found in one day of exploring on my own. Beaches, state parks, shipwrecks, lighthouses, majestic forests, wildlife--Katie knew how to get to all those tucked away treasures. She provided a comfortable, safe, fun and stress free tour because she did all the hard work and I just got to sit back and soak up all the beauty the Northwest Oregon coast has to offer. Ecola State Park was down right magical looking with the light rain and mist. It is a must see! I would highly recommend Katie and the full day of exploring. If you are looking for a standard, impersonal boring tour then don't waste your money on this one. This tour guide is anything but impersonal and boring-- Katie is passionate about her community and helping it to flourish by educating others. You will walk away from this tour with an appreciation for this area's rich history and a respect for its natural beauty and character. Katie's sense of humor and her willingness to listen to her passengers' requests and interests make this tour top notch and well worth the time and money.

New friends, new skills, in a new place! - Katy and Bill are naturally friendly and helpful people, the best hosts! They took us clamming and taught us how to shuck and clean the razor clams known in this area. Then they taught us the most savory chowder recipe I've ever had! This is a great local experience that I'll always remember.

Best Tour Ever! - Best tour and tour guide I’ve ever had!! Katie was so sweet and welcoming. I was visiting Astoria with my friend for a single day and decided to book with Katie for the half day excursion from Seaside to Astoria. I was born in Astoria and wanted to see as much as I could for the day. Katie was very easy going and didn’t make us feel rushed at all which really helped to soak up the time we had there while also managing to show us so so many cool landmarks as well! One of our favorite parts of the excursion was that Katie made it customized to us and what most interested us about the area! We wanted it to be more focused on nature so she took us to a lot of outdoor stops and we were so happy with that. She touched on topics from the “past, present, and future” of Astoria/Oregon as Katie put it and I loved getting to learn so much at the same time as see so much. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Not only all of that, but Katie was so kind and cool! We had lunch with her and got to know her a bit and she’s awesome. I’d love to go on another adventure with her. If you are thinking about booking, do not hesitate! You’ll see so many beautiful places and Katie is knowledgeable on all of them! Completely worth it and a day I’ll never forget. 💕

Let’s get in the bus and go! - From city lights to ocean sights. This was all around the best tour you could possibly pick. So much was learned about the past and present..The guide made a colorful presentation of Astoria and Seaside. Learned from a local who knows the place like the back of her hand! Money well spent. Very personable tour guide!

Best day tour Ever! - Totally a great experience to spend the day with Katie. Her history knowledge of Astoria, Cannon Beach, Arcadia Beach, The local Trails, Seaside, Fort Stevens State Park that included WW history, The view of the mountains & the waters that joined together was fabulous. Unforgettable! The selfie tour was incredible. Katie's personality was a bonus & her smile was joyfully contagious. Fun adventure and exploring - I called Onward Adventures looking for activities to do while staying in Seaside. She catered the selfie tour for my large family of 6. For only $600.00. She took us to Indian beach, my girls loved the sea life and the surfers. (We had to watch point Break later that night) she also took us to find sand dollars on the beach, swam at Young Rivers Falls, ate at the Big O( oh so horny)lol She explained the wood piling, the south and north bar. We flew planes off the Astoria column and signed the inside of her bus. She only charged us for 6 hours but we spent a full 8 hours with her. We loved the seaside museum and can only imagine how the Daddy train was. Fantastic pictures! Onward Adventures will be part of our annual event when we come to the coast. It was the most personal tour we have had. Super fun I cannot recommended this tour enough!! 5 stars
