Fantastic Tour! - We explored the market before meeting our group for the tour but John showed us so much more! We had great variety in tastings and I enjoyed the different flavors. John did an excellent job educating us on the beginning and history of the market. I believe he was the best person to learn about the market from due to his years of experience working there. You can truly feel his passion for this unique place. He made sure to show us every building, level, and space in the market. We would’ve never seen it all without him!

Local Chef with the Energy of the Market Itself - Lots of samples and history throughout the tour. NO WAY would we have discovered that much of Pike Place on our own. Chef John was charismatic and knew literally every person working in the market which made the whole experience really up close and personal with the whole crew of Pikes.

Delicious! - John is extremely knowledgeable about the market: and knows all the vendors. I felt like we were on an underground tour of the market and now know all the best spots to eat, shop, and see amazing views. Plus, the food was delicious! Would definitely recommend this tour and John.

So Disappointed - I was so excited about this tour but ended up extremely disappointed. It started off with more of an art tour of the market than a food tour as John took us around to vendors he knew. We stopped for a biscuit and then we had to hike up a lot of stairs to get to our next stop. Several people were left behind. There was no slowing down and waiting for everyone in the group to rejoin. John just kept on trucking. At the top of the stairs the others caught up, but I had a hard time after climbing all of those stairs and had to stop. The group continued on, John never looked back to see if everyone was with the group, and then off they went into a section of the market. I lost them and never caught up. So, after I cooled off and caught my breath, I continued to browse the market on my own. Later, I ran into the group. John looked right straight at me and didn't say a word. I would've expected something like, "hey, did we lose you?" I didn't feel welcome to join back in with the tour so I just left. Complete waste of money. All I got was a biscuit and a tour of the art section of the market.

very disappointed with tour - while the tour was informative about the history of the market place, the food selections and tastings were much a disappointment from all other food tours we have experienced we arrived early and purposely did not eat expecting good samples from the 10 vendors. very surprised with what we received

Not a food tour - We had an energetic guide for the food tour but THIS was not a food tour. John took us to different vendors that handed out samples to anyone, regardless if you were on the tour or not. We went to 3 venders that actually gave us a small portion, but the food was cold. I’ve done several other food tours so I was disappointed, luckily we had a fun group that kept it lively. If you want more history of the market and less food then this is the tour for you.
