Savor Seattle is permitted and licensed by the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) to operate tours in the Pike Place Market Historical District. The PDA requires any business or person conducting paid tours within its properties and in the public areas of the historical district to be pre-approved and to have a license for this activity.
- Due to space constraints and uneven roads, strollers and wheelchairs are difficult to accommodate on the tour. Please plan that you will be walking about one mile and standing for the majority of the tour and possibly in direct sunlight or rain. We recommend comfortable footwear, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a bottle of water. Water will also be for sale at the meeting location

The tour will meet inside Unexpected Productions Market Theatre located at 1428 Post Alley. Located in Pike Place Market in Lower Post Alley, precisely where you'll find The Gum Wall. From First and Pike, walk the cobblestones downhill and turn to the left, then look for the theater entrance.

Community Breakfasting at Pike Place - You just know its going to be good when the tour guide is waiting outside for you when you arrive and says looks like its just us four this morning. After the preliminaries of check in were over, we got under way with Matt in the lead. I truly believe the man knows everyone in the Market, and they all are happy to greet him and us. Community abounds. It was a joy to be a part of.
**A side tip, don’t eat anything before you go as you will be stuffed from all the tastings.**

A locals guide to the best of Pike Place Market - Come hungry for a bespoke sampling of some of best the market has to offer. Every tasting was delicious, high quality, and well-portioned. Matt was an excellent guide! He loves the Pike Place Market and it really shows in his stories and enthusiasm for the area's history. Along the way you'll even meet some of the "producers". Definitely recommend!

Just sign up! It’s completely worth it! - This was an awesome tour of Pike Place market with really neat stories about its history and culture that we never would have gotten out of walking through the market. Matt led our tour and clearly knows the history, the people and more importantly loves this community. His enthusiasm really impacted every facet of this experience for us. The food was great, the stories were amazing to hear and really was the icing on top of a great trip to Seattle!

Fun For Foodies - Matt was our guide. He was amazing! He gave us so much info about the market that we would have never learned if we gone on our own.

Great tour. Fabulous guide! - Matt is incredible. His knowledge and enthusiasm for Pike Place Market is totally infectious. He is 1000% part of this community and it seemed like he knew and was friends with practically everyone we encountered. If you are debating taking a tour of the market, do it and do it with Savor Seattle. They are the OG! And there is so much history here. I can’t imagine just wandering around and not having learned all the amazing backstories I learned today. Also come HUNGRY!! You get a lot of food (and coffee) and it’s all delicious!! Buy your tickets now!
