While our guides give you the most delicious tastings we could find at EIGHT different partners, you’ll also learn the history of the market and hear the stories of the small-batch food and craft producers that make this place one of Seattle’s most beloved landmarks. This is Pike Place Market 101!
Savor Seattle is permitted and licensed by the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) to operate tours in the Pike Place Market Historical District. The PDA requires any business or person conducting paid tours within its properties and in the public areas of the historical district to be pre-approved and to have a license for this activity.
- If you have any trouble finding the meeting location, give us a call at (206) 338-1841.
- Due to space constraints and uneven roads, strollers and wheelchairs are difficult to accommodate on the tour. Please plan that you will be walking about one mile and standing for the majority of the tour and possibly in direct sunlight or rain. We recommend comfortable footwear, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a bottle of water. Water will also be for sale at the meeting location

The tour will meet inside Unexpected Productions Market Theatre located at 1428 Post Alley. Located in Pike Place Market in Lower Post Alley, precisely where you'll find The Gum Wall. From First and Pike, walk the cobblestones downhill and turn to the left, then look for the theater entrance.

Best Introduction to Pike Place Market - The tour is the best way to experience the market. We visited once before without the benefit of a tour and wandered aimlessly without really trying anything or knowing where to go. The market layout and crowds can be overwhelming. Our tour guide Judson was very knowledgeable and gave us the backstory of many of the vendors and the history of the market, while taking us to 8 different stalls where we got to taste very generous portions of a variety of foods. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was money well spent to give us a better overview of the market and try new foods we would not have known to try.

Great tour of the Seattle Market - The tour was great. Judson was able to keep our group together and entertained as we walked through the Seattle Market. We got to taste some great food from a variety of merchants.

Amazing must do tour! - Amazing time and experience Kacey was really amazing and honestly had some of the best food I’ve ever had. We did the lunch tour and It was a tour that just kept giving. I learned so much and really fell in love with Pike Place!

Great fun and informative! - Tour was great! I learned so much about a place I’ve been to many times. Fun to hear the history. Our guide Judson was great - so funny and engaging. He made it fun for all of us. Really enjoyed it. .
