Excellent team building activity! John brings the energy and knowledge! - Our Pike Place Market food tour with Chef John was an absolute delight and a true culinary adventure through Seattle's most iconic marketplace. His expertise as a chef really showed in how he curated our tasting experience. Along the way, we sampled slices of artisanal pizza from DeLaurenti's, biscuits, smoked salmon, a chocolate covered dessert, and more! The tour included fascinating historical tidbits about the market's 100+ year history and insider knowledge of the best vendor spots. Chef John's connections with the vendors meant we got special tastings and behind-the-scenes insights you wouldn't get exploring on your own. His passion for food and the market's history made this tour both educational and delicious. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience the best of Pike Place Market!

A warm welcome to Seattle - Really enjoyed our tour and tasting with John as our guide. We came straight from the airport and this definitely gave us the lay of the land so we can return throughout our trip with some direction. John was knowledgeable and friendly, everyone around the market knew him and welcomed us. We appreciated the small size of our group and homey vibe…had to come back for my Beechers though! Thanks for a great experience!

Best food tour and guide! - John was an amazing guide! We saw and tasted so many things we would have never tried on our own. I love that this was a smaller tour and not run by the large companies. Much more attention to detail and true lived experiences in the market. The food was delicious!

Pikes Market tour with the family - Fun way to experience all the foods and history of Pikes Market . The market is confusing to learn so having someone share their knowledge is the best way to go. One mistake we made was we ate prior to the trip.. don’t do that !

Awesome Foodie Tour - What a great tour! In spite of the rain (which was actually a welcome site coming from Fort Worth, TX where we have drought conditions periodically - I do wish I'd had my raincoat,) I so enjoyed Chef John's tour. The food samples were pretty awesome - the pizza was fabulous! - as were the fruit (yummy,) the shrimp (OMG so good,) - I could go on and on! Plus, Chef John was a wealth of historical knowledge which was an added bonus. There is parking available nearby. I wore boots which I am glad I did considering the weather - on a sunny day I would certainly recommend a pair of good walking shoes and there are many stairs. All in all it was a delightful two hours, it could've easily been longer. The Vendors were all so welcoming and some gave their own history. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thank you Chef John for a great experience!

Meeting the market for the 1st time - Getting a tour with a local was very fun and informative! It definitely was helpful for the rest of our stay to be able to navigate the market. Only thing I would have liked is bigger portions of food but other than that it was great. John is wonderful and it was awesome being in a smaller intimate group.

The Market is wat bigger than you think! - Great info about the market! We were surprised at how big it is - it's not just the block from the fish monger to the crafts. Interesting mix of foods to try.

I think I had higher... - I think I had higher hopes for this tour. Many of the samples I probably could have recieved exploring on my own. The samples were tasty and I was full, but expected more I guess (the taco was not good). I was a solo participant so it moved fast, with minimal breaks. There is no seating in this tour which is odd when you are getting food. I mentioned this but he said seating is hard (however we walked through a restaurant where a tour was seated). I appreciated the history of the market and did learn alot. I did book last minute and I was still accommodated so I appreciated that. It's January and much is closed but it was cold so items tailored to that would have been lovely. As mentioned you walk through places that John has connections too...for example I was able to see his dentist office. This is not a tour for you if you have difficulty walking or you need to take breaks.
