Seattle is often linked with 90s music. However, on this city walkthrough, you’ll be introduced not only to the familiar faces of the ‘grunge’ era but also to some unexpected performers and concert locations!

We’ll kick off in Pioneer Square, which houses several pubs with live music shows, including a vintage venue that witnessed performances of Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix. Alongside the music lore of the region, you’ll get a glimpse of the city’s origins reflected in its 19th-century brick constructions.

During our segment at Pike Place Market, we might stumble upon a street artist performance and hear about musicians who started their careers here. Also, we’ll learn about local music spots that have been the platform for renowned artists.

Following a quick stroll through the market, if time permits, we might hop on the monorail to Seattle Center, the location of the famous Space Needle and Museum of Pop Culture. You can carry on your musical exploration by visiting these attractions or head downtown to witness some live performances!
