- R4R3+V9 Sedona - We will guide you to a secluded dark sky site, away from Sedona’s city lights. There, we will set up our telescopes and sweep you away on a cosmic journey!
Using a laser, your guide will trace out the constellations and point out interesting objects like the Milky Way, planets, meteor showers, or passing satellites. Our powerful Canon 15x50 image-stabilized binoculars will be available for you to take a closer look.
Next, we will show you a selection of galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters through our telescopes. Unlike traditional astronomy tours, we don’t limit ourselves to viewing directly through our scopes with eyepieces. We’ve outfitted our instruments with special astronomy cameras, so they can capture live video of faint celestial objects and stream the feeds to our 4k OLED TV. Everyone can see the views in extraordinary color and detail simultaneously. All the images of celestial objects in our gallery were captured by our scopes, and are representative what you’ll see.
Our activity blurs the lines between direct observation and astrophotography. At the end of the tour, you will have a chance to save your favorite images from our video astronomy session to keep.

Discover a new way to explore Sedona’s night sky with Chris the “Night Owl” and his team of astronomers! See dust lanes in distant galaxies, the pinkish glow of hydrogen clouds in stellar nurseries, colorful remnants of dead stars, and much more. Our cutting-edge electronic telescopes capture detailed images that normal telescopes can’t show you and display them on a big 4K screen. Every object has a story, be it a tiny moon or the largest of galaxies. Your knowledgeable astronomer will share the history, science and humor behind each celestial object. Our tour is kid-friendly and perfect for families, couples looking for a romantic starlit evening, or anyone who is curious about the universe around us.
- This tour may not be suitable for participants under seven years of age or anyone who has difficulty negotiating uneven terrain in low light conditions.
