This unique two-day, one-night tour takes you to Seki City in Gifu Prefecture, renowned for its 700-year history of sword-making. Participants will have the opportunity to visit a craftsman’s workshop, where swords are crafted in the true spirit of bushido, and gain insight into the art of sword-making. Following this, there will be a chance to engage in a samurai experience with a sword under the guidance of an iaido master, skilled in the art of sword fighting. In the evening, guests will stay overnight at a lodge situated within the dojo of a sword-making artisan. The following morning, an early start will lead to a nearby temple for a session of Zen meditation practice. Later, participants will visit a workshop where traditional sword-making techniques are applied to modern knife crafting, and they will have the chance to create their own kitchen knife. This tour offers more than just a samurai experience; it provides a deeper understanding of the samurai spirit and the joy of crafting personal kitchen knives. The journey concludes with a visit to Gifu Castle after exploring Seki City.
