After everyone is on board, we will head to Thingvellir National park to enjoy a thrilling activity: snorkelling between two continental tectonic plates! Our guide will be ready at the designated meeting spot; there, you’ll gear up with the equipment we supply. Just ensure you’re dressed comfortably aside (we suggest a thin thermal clothing layer). A brief five-minute walk will bring you to the Silfra fissure. It might seem like a typical lake from the outside, but once submerged, you’ll witness the beauty of pristine glacier water with a remarkable 100-meter visibility. Must Do Activity for Iceland - The trip was fabulous, from pick up to the bus ride, to getting outfitted, all went smoothly. Our guide Lilian, was really good when it came to explaining things. Snorkelling in a dry suit was a new experience and took some getting use to. Lilian was very patient with me as I am in my 60’s and not as fast as some of the younguns The views were amazing and easily lived up to the you tube videos I had seen. The clearness of the water was so brilliant. I highly recommend this as an activity to do in Iceland, it is not as cold as you would think.

Great times and good value for the money - We got last minute spots for snorkeling tour. With our Guide Veronica everything went super smoothly and we felt taken good care of! Usually after great marketing material you easily feel dissapointed after the real experience, but it wasn´t the case here! Totally worth the money and little bit of cold! Thank you!

Exploring Iceland with Troll - I did 3 tours with Troll: snorkeling in Silfra, Katla ice cave and Snæfellsnes peninsula day trip, all with transfers from Reykjavik and the 3 were amazing 🤩 special thanks to our guides of the Katla ice cave tour Henrik and Nat, they were so nice and funny, i enjoyed so much the activity and the playlist that Henrik played along the drive from and to Reykjavik, amazing Icelandic music. And also to our guide in the Silfra snorkel tour, Marcelo, he was so helpful and cheerful during all the tour. I would recommend Tröll Expeditions for making our time in Iceland an unforgettable experience

What an experience! - What an experience! I took the minibus transfer from Reykjavik, which all went smoothly. The snorkeling was amazing - the water is so clear and knowing that you are between the two continental plates adds an extra thrill. With the drysuit and other equipment, the cold is only really noticeable around your mouth and lips (which did get a little painful at times), which was a surprise as I am a known wimp when it comes to swimming in even a slightly cool swimming pool. The drysuit is also extremely 'floaty' which means you never feel at risk of sinking into the deep crevasses below the water. It is worth knowing that the drysuit is very very tight around your neck and did make me feel panicky - I forgot about it once in the water but it was hard to deal with in the run up. Our guide, Vero, was friendly and helpful and I felt confident that she would keep us safe. It was really appreciated that she took so many photos that were then emailed to us afterwards so that we didn't need to try and do this ourselves. Thanks Troll and Vero - a brilliant trip.

Once in a lifetime Opportunity! - Snorkeling between the tectonic plates was a once in a lifetime experience. Our guide, Kevin, provided a safe, entertaining and educational experience for our group. We went in May and despite the chilly weather, our equipment provided by the tour company kept us warm and dry. Will recommend this tour to anyone going to visit Iceland.

One of the activities in Iceland - What an outstanding and memorable trip this was. This is a must activity for anyone visiting Iceland. The Troll team are extremely professional and fun to be with. Facilities were perfectly organised for our large group - changing, suit fitting, refreshments, etc. Very smooth process with no waiting times. 45 mins in the water and the dry suits are amazing - not a drop of water gets in and you are completely warm in the 2 degrees water. Your face is the only bit exposed to the water and you do not really feel the cold. Your hair and hands may get a little wet, but they are well insulated and covered at all times. An all round superb experience.
