• Thingvellir National Park - Thingvellir is known for the Althing, the site of Iceland’s parliament from the 10th to the 18th century. Thingvellir National Park sits in a rift valley created by the separation of the European and the North American tectonic plates. Here you have the thrill of standing with one foot in Europe and with the other one in America. One of the attractions in the national park is also Silfra Fissure, popular among scuba divers who come here from all over the world the dive in the transparent glacial water.

• Haifoss - The waterfall Háifoss is situated near the volcano Hekla in southern Iceland. The river Fossá, a tributary of Þjórsá, drops here from a height of 122 m.

• Thorufoss - This is a beautiful waterfall featured in Game of Thrones. In the movie, one of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons devours a goat right in the spot from where you can admire the waterfall.

• Gjain - Gjáin is a spectacular valley only accessible with good weather and road conditions. The valley looks like it is part of a fairytale, with its beautiful rocks and waterfalls. In this area, several scenes were shot for Game of Thrones, including some with Arya Stark and the Hound.

We’ll make a stop at Thorufoss waterfall, the location of the scene where Daenerys’ dragon preyed on a local goat in Merren. Afterwards, we’ll head to Thingvellir National Park, the backdrop for several Game of Thrones scenes featuring the White Walkers. Here, we’ll explore a rift valley, a product of the separation of tectonic plates of North America and Europe. Additionally, we’ll see the canyon that served as the filming location for the Bloody Gate of the Eyrie and various Wildlings scenes.

Our adventure will carry on to Stöng, renowned for its medieval Viking dwellings. Here, you can replay the moment when a peaceful farming village, located south of the wall, falls under a Wildlings invasion.

Our next stops include Háifoss, the runner-up in terms of height among Iceland’s waterfalls, and the enigmatic Hjalparfoss. Our journey will culminate in Gjáin, a stunning valley adorned with picturesque waterfalls and unique lava formations.
