Great tour! All the stops... - Great tour! All the stops were so beautiful. We landed from the US, checked in to the hotel, and went on this tour! We loved it, especially because the long drives in between allowed us wiggle room to catch up on sleep.

Long but incredibly fulfilling day - Probably the best day trip we have ever experienced anywhere during our travels. From our hotel pick-up by our driver/guide Bjornic (Bear) where we boarded an immaculate small coach (equipped with charging points in case anyone is interested), we journeyed through the spectacular landscapes of Iceland. Bear was a geologist so was enthusiastically providing interesting facts throughout the day. Highlights for us were the waterfalls of Gullfoss, our 2h at Blue Lagoon (worth paying for premium for an extra drink at the end while relaxing in the robes provided), and the town of Grindavík, which was abandoned during last years (and ongoing) volcanic activity - was honestly like a set from a movie and very distressing to see and hear about. We had several stops along the way for lunch/rest breaks. Would suggest packing some supplies for on the coach and take advantage of all rest stops as some journeys in between can be up to 2hrs. It’s a long day but you honestly cram in so many sights and experiences. The 2h R&R at the amazing Blue Lagoon was perfect. All in all cannot recommend highly enough.

Lagoon trip did not leave me feeling blue - We took this trip as part of a short stay in Iceland, as such we wanted to maximise the amount of experiences we could see during our short stay. This trip is a great way of doing that. I has to be said, that it is a full-on day of sight seeing, so be prepared to be out all day and back late. We were picked up at 9.45am from bus stop 6, as this was the closed to our hotel. Be aware that coaches can't pick up from all the city centre hotels, so there is a network of bus stops within a short walking distance, ours was less than a 5 minute walk. Be aware that, not all the stops have shelters, so make sure you put your weather proof gear on before you leave, or you will have a soggy day, waiting for your transport. Our minibus was comfortable and warm and we felt safe with our driver. Our guide was full of stories and interesting information, he also added a couple of extra stops that were a bonus. For me the highlights were the views from the national park (stunning) and the waterfall (just majestic). Just be aware that there is a lot of stopping and starting and it can be a tiring day. The Blue Lagoon visit was not until around 7pm, this was quite late and it was dark, if we visited again we would visit in the day to take in the full experience of the lagoon. Having been the previous day (just dropping people off) it was a shame we couldn't experience what we saw. The lagoon is amazing, so warm and the facilities are excellent. I would recommend taking flip flops and even your own robe, or "borrow" one from the hotel. It can get chilly waiting to get in or when you get out. A great experience though. Make sure you take some snacks and possible a hot drink with you. The food and drink at the lagoon looks good but, it is expensive. Overall, this was a great trip and I would recommend it. Just be prepared that it is a full-on day and you will be ready for your bed by the time you get home, we got back around 10pm.
