Highlights
- Thingvellir National Park - Head to Thingvellir National Park, where you learn about how it lies within a volcanically active area. It’s also home to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Straddle two continents while you walk between the plates.
- Laugarvatn - Laugarvatn sits next to a beautiful lake of the same name in a geothermally active area. The plumes of super-heated vapor billowing into the air in this area are used by the locals to bake rye bread in the ground!
- Geysir - Next, visit the surreal Geysir geothermal area on foot, stopping at bubbling ponds, steam vents, and Geysir and Strokkur geysers. Stick around long enough to watch the Strokkur geyser erupt (around every 10 minutes), spurting a column of water up to 98 foot (30 meters) in the air
- Gullfoss Waterfall - The next destination is Gullfoss – the Golden Waterfall, where the waters of the mighty Hvíta (white) river are swept into a 70 meters deep canyon.
- Reykholt - Small town with lots of Greenhouses
- Kerid Crater - After enjoyable hike around falls hop back on the bus for the journey to the lake-filled, 3,000-year-old Kerid crater. Stop to marvel at its magical-looking lake and colorful slopes.
- Reykjanes Peninsula - A drive through Reykjanes Peninsula admiring vast lava fields, cone volcanoes and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean before we arrive in the Blue Lagoon.

Hvammsvik Hot Springs - (OPTIONAL)
If you select to end your day at Hvammsvík Baths, the bus will head towards stunning Whale Fjord where the SPA is located. There, you can immerse yourself in the perfect combination of geothermal water from 1400 meters below the surface and seawater from the nearby Atlantic Ocean. This extraordinary blend of water forms a continuous flow that cascades between pools, spills over their edges, and returns to the ocean, guaranteeing exceptional water quality and purity. -
Sky Lagoon - (OPTIONAL)
The Sky Lagoon is Iceland’s newest spa experience. We’ll bring you here for two luxurious hours, and you’ll enjoy yourself wallowing in an enormous infinity pool with unobstructed ocean views. There’s a swim-up bar hidden in a cave, and a warm waterfall to enjoy! -
Blue Lagoon - (OPTIONAL)
Up to visit an iconic Blue Lagoon Lava Fields & SPA? You can choose to head inside the SPA (select a proper option during booking process) to enjoy a soak in the steamy waters while admiring surrounding lava fields, or (if you do not wish to swim there) take a walk around lava fields and visit the skin care products store or restaurant.

Awesome trip and out tour guide was beyond phenomenal. - Loved all locations but my favorite was the geothermal hot springs at the end of the day. Christina our tour guide as so knowledgeable and fun!

Top Tour, Top companies, Top riders - First of all, thanks to Bus Travel Iceland. Although due to storm our cruiser arrived in port much too late we were able to fully enjoy the 11 hour round trip with conclusion in the blue lagoon. But we would especially like to praise Mario as an excellent bus driver and tour guide. He explained so much and soo entertaining, that was extra excellent! THANK YOU.

Fun and memorable small group experience with operator Nice Travel - All of the stops were fun and memorable. We had a fantastic experience. Guide Thor provided good balance between talk and silence/pleasant music on the bus. Time at stops was perfect. Small group with operator Nice Travel is the way to go. Will use again for sure. I would recommend avoiding bus stop 9 for pick ups because it is too easy to disappointingly miss your bus; Foss Hotel Baron is just 3 blocks' walk away from no. 9 and much less hectic. Also recommend keeping your phone on and monitored in case of a mix up.

Great Golden Circle Tour - David was a fantastic guide who made the entire day a pleasure and the stops were mostly enjoyable. Spent too long at Geysir, which was the day's one disappointment.

Awesome time! - Excellent tour and stops. The guide was fun and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this tour since it has everything you want. It is a long day, but every stop is amazing and there's plenty of time at each stop and plenty of options for food and bathroom breaks. Pick up/drop off and communication was easy!
