• Thingvellir National Park - Begin the day early by departing from Reykjavik and driving directly to Thingvellir National Park, which is about a 45-minute drive. Spend a few hours exploring the park, enjoying the stunning landscapes, and discovering its historical importance.
• Kerid Crater - A beautiful lake nestled within its ancient boundaries. Formed around 3000 years ago, this crater invites visitors to take a leisurely walk around its perimeter. The trail winds along the crater’s edge, offering captivating views at every turn. Enjoy a walk around the volcano crater and capture stunning photographs.
• Fridheimar - Visit Fridheimar Tomato Farm, where locals grow tomatoes using geothermal energy. Tourists are invited to try tomato soup with baguette. Additionally, souvenirs and tomato products are available for purchase.
• Geysir - Proceed to the Geysir geothermal area, about a 15-minute drive away. Experience the impressive eruptions of the Strokkur geyser and explore the other geothermal features in the area.
• Brú Horse Farm - Stop by Bru Horse Farm to take pictures with horses and feed them special horse treats. (Please inform the driver/guide if you have a horse allergy.)
• Gullfoss Waterfall - From Thingvellir, continue the journey to Gullfoss waterfall, approximately a 1.5-hour drive. Admire the powerful cascades and enjoy the breathtaking views of the waterfall and its canyon.
• Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin - Spend time relaxing in the geothermal waters. The Secret Lagoon, known locally as Gamla Laugin, is the oldest swimming pool in Iceland, established in 1891 at Hverahólmi, a geothermal area near Flúðir.
