- Thingvellir National Park - Þingvellir (Thingvellir) is a historic site and national park located in Iceland, east of Reykjavík. It is renowned for the Alþing (Althing), the site of Iceland’s parliament from the 10th to 18th centuries. The park features the Þingvellir Church and the remnants of ancient stone shelters. It is situated in a rift valley formed by the divergence of two tectonic plates, showcasing rocky cliffs and fissures such as the impressive Almannagjá fault.
- Geysir - Geysir, often referred to as The Great Geysir, is a geyser in southwestern Iceland. It holds the distinction of being the first geyser described in a printed source and the first known to modern Europeans. The English term “geyser” is derived from Geysir. The name Geysir itself originates from the Icelandic verb “geysa,” which comes from Old Norse.
- Gullfoss Waterfall - The expansive Hvítá river flows southward, and approximately a kilometer above the falls, it sharply turns to the right, cascading down a wide, curved three-step “staircase” before plunging in two stages (11 meters or 36 feet, and 21 meters or 69 feet) into a crevice 32 meters (105 ft) deep. This crevice, about 20 meters (66 ft) wide and 2.5 kilometers (1.6 mi) long, runs perpendicular to the river’s flow. On average, 140 cubic meters (4,900 cu ft) of water rushes down the waterfall per second in the summer, and 80 cubic meters (2,800 cu ft) per second in the winter. The highest recorded flood was 2,000 cubic meters (71,000 cu ft) per second.
- Fridheimar - The journey continues south to visit the Fridheimar tomato cultivation farm, where visitors can enjoy a variety of meals and desserts, all featuring tomatoes as the main ingredient. It is said that this location offers the best Bloody Mary cocktail in the world.
- Kerid Crater - Finally, the tour stops at the 3,000-year-old Kerið crater, offering a stunning view and a pleasant walk.
