  • Thingvellir National Park - Your day starts by driving from Reykjavik to the historic site of Þingvellir National Park. This was the venue for the Icelandic parliament from 930 till 1798 and is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, both for it´s rich history and amazing nature.   This is also where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet which creates an amazing feeling having one foot in each world.

  • Laugarvatn - Laugarvatn sits next to a beautiful lake of the same name in a geothermally active area. The plumes of super-heated vapor billowing into the air in this area are used by the locals to bake rye bread in the ground!

  • Geysir - Known throughout the world for it´s power and beauty, Geysir has become a synonym for this amazing show of nature.  Strokkur, another hot spring, sits nearby and is very active, erupting to heights up to 30 meters every few minutes. Follow one of many paths and enjoy steaming springs bubbling all around you. In the Geysir Area you will also have time to buy lunch or some snacks.

  • Gullfoss Waterfall - Next on the agenda is the waterfall Gullfoss - the Golden Waterfall.  One of the most popular attractions is Iceland, Gullfoss will amaze you with it´s raw power and beauty, plummeting down 32 meters into a rugged canyon.

  • Reykholt - Small town with lots of Greenhouses

  • Kerid Crater - These three attractions complete the classic Golden Circle - but to add even more to your experience - we also stop at the spectacular Kerid Volcanic Crater. This 3000 year old crater is 55 meters deep and offers a unique view of the beauty of the Icelandic nature.

  • Hveragerdi - On the way back to Reykjavík tour goes via Geothermal Area in Hveragerði, packed with famous greenhouses powered by green energy and horse farms. After a short drive through mountain pass you will also see Hellisheiði Geothermal Power Plant.

Great tour, boring tour guide - The iternary itself is great! Nice Travel was, okay...our guide was nice but droned on and on and on. I think he felt he had to speak the entire time we were on the bus! Also, at each stop, he told us to wait outside the bus for him rather that go off and explore. It was very cold out. Anything he needed to say to us could have been said on the bus. We ended up just going on our way after the second stop. At the waterfall stop, he brought us inside to look at a map and slowly explained things that really weren't necessary. I felt like we were on a class trip. The other tour we had taken was with Hidden Iceland. That tour guide was amazing! But, again, the sights were amazing!

Excellent small group tour! - This was an excellent tour with a small group of people. The mini-bus was clean and warm. We really enjoyed the entire trip. It was well paced with plenty of time at each stop to enjoy all of the amazing sites. If you are going in March/April be sure to dress in very warm layers because it’s cold and very windy.

tour guide who shared his own experiences - A very interesting itinerary, thanks to the tour guide who, being a local, narrated many stories about Iceland and shared his own experiences along the way!

Great experience with lots to take in and see - This was a fantastic tour. 8 hours all day bus tour and yet still manged to complete 19,300 steps. Sara was a fanstic tour guide, her knowledge and facts all day did not disappoint. Would have liked a little more time at the Kerid to explore would be our only critism, but understand why with the time constraints getting to and from everywhere, also places on route being closed with it being Good Friday. The gysers and waterfalls were fantastic to see and to end in national park was beautiful.

Fun, interesting, comfortable - we had a blast with our guide Davidd - We did the Golden Circle Tour with Nice Travel. Our guide David made this an awesome day. Hours went by in no time because he was so entertaining and fun. He shared so many interesting stories and background info. He even made some extra stops for us to show us some treats. He was always making sure that we felt comfortable in the bus and during our stops. I highly recommend doing this exploration with nice travel, especially if you’ve got the chance to do it with David. thank you so much. We had a blast. ❤️ PS: I really enjoyed having clean window panes. Was the first bus I traveled with where I could also make some photos during the drive.

Best way to begin our week in Iceland! - This was the best tour and a great beginning to our very memorable week in Iceland. We LOVED David our tour guide (he's Czech but has lived in Iceland for about 9 years). He taught us so much about Icelandic culture and the nature all around us. I loved the small group and small bus (about 10-12 of us total) instead of the "big ugly buses" of the other tours. I love that he did the tour in reverse to try to avoid the big crowds. Gave us plenty of time at each spot. Lunch at Geysir stop was good - two options available, one more budget friendly and one a little more mid range (but food in Iceland in pricey no matter where you eat). Bus very comfortable. Overall great day.

Be very careful about the "small group" description. Totally misleading. - 20 people crammed into a tiny van. Probably more comfort riding on the full size bus. Beware of this small group description.
