Begin your descent into the city’s remnants with your guide. The path will lead you by the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan, and the Great Theater. The theater, one of the city’s most well-preserved edifices, is still employed today for the annual spring festival. It previously accommodated seating for 24,000 spectators and is believed to be the venue where St Paul delivered his preachings to the Ephesians.
