Highlights
  • Ancient City of Ephesus - This enclosure for archaeological remains at Ephesus elegantly reconciles historic conservation with accessibility for visitors. The site of a succession of great ancient civilizations, Ephesus, on the south-west coast of modern Turkey, embodied a peculiarly fertile synthesis of architecture and culture. In 356BC the Greeks built the Artemesium (a colossal Ionic temple dedicated to Artemis the fertility goddess) which was one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. During the 2nd century BC, Ephesus was the fourth largest city in the eastern Roman Empire, famous for its Artemesium, the Library of Celsus and its medical school..

Spend the day with Tas - Tas was wonderful. His knowledge of the history is second to none. We were connected to Tas the day before the tour and it has been a pleasant trip from beginning to end. Highly recommending Tas for any visit to Ismir or Cesme from a cruise ship. Spending the day with Tas is a pleasant experience. His is so thoughtful and helped my husband who has an issue with his mobility. Thank you Tas. Five star rated !

Great Experience - Great communication. Picked us up at port with guide holding a sign for our group. We learned a lot about the sites and Turkish culture. You get a high pressure sales pitch to buy a Turkish rug but they are polite and you don’t have to buy anything. It was well worth it!

The ONLY Way to Visit Ephesus - This private guided tour is absolutely the best way to see Ephesus, the surrounding sites, and the museums. My truly amazing guide Tas, provided me with an exceptional experience from start to finish. He was professional, courteous and patient (with all my photo taking), incredibly knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and provided insight and information not readily available online or in pamphlets. As you watch the large group tours being sped quickly along with only tidbits of information to be heard, and crowding around each site, you realize that a private tour is the only way to truly learn and experience this remarkable site. It is not a tour to be rushed, and you'll appreciate the catered approach to your experience. I highly recommend requesting Tas. He was, in fact, the best tour guide I have had on my trip to Turkey. I'd also recommend paying the little extra money for a little extra time and attention. You won't regret it! Thank you Tas for a really wonderful experience!

Guide great; ask about entrance fee payment - Gigi was a fantastic guide, customizing the experience to our preferences. She is very knowledgeable and speaks excellent English. My only complaint with the operator is that it was not clear that we would have to pay the guide cash for the entrance fees at the end of our tour. If entrance fees were not included, I assumed any additional fees would be charged to the same card I had used to reserve. This was frustrating as we did carry that much cash and had to find an ATM and I’m sure had extra fees. 😞
