Highlights
  • Ancient City of Ephesus - Ephesus Ancient City is one of the most important highlights of our private Ephesus tours. Ephesus was the third largest city of the Roman Empire with a population of approximately 250000 in the Roman period. It was also the capital and commercial center of Asia Minor. You will have a chance to see the Library of Celsus (the third biggest library of the ancient world), the Great Theater of Ephesus (the biggest in Anatolia), latrines, the Temple of Hadrian, and more…
  • Kusadasi - If you are traveling on a cruise ship, our professional tour guide will greet you outside the customs/passport control building with a signboard with your name on it.

If you are a hotel guest, our tour guide will be waiting for you in your hotel lobby at the specified time.

Then your guide will take you to your private transport and your Private tour starts.

  • Ephesus Terrace Houses - Terrace houses, also known as houses of the rich, are located in the ancient city of Ephesus. The 6 luxury villas in the complex give us very important information about family life in the Roman period. The oldest of these houses, which have their own heating systems and are decorated with impressive Roman mosaics and frescoes, date to the 1st century.
  • Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - During the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, Jesus entrusted his mother to his apostle St. John in his last words, since Jerusalem was not safe for his mother Virgin Mary anymore. John placed Mary on the top of Bulbul Mountain near Ephesus, which he considered as a safe place.

It is believed that the Virgin Mary spent her last years in this house and died.

The House of the Virgin Mary is now officially registered as a place of pilgrimage, with the visits of Pope Paul VI in 1967, Pope John Paul II in 1979, and Pope Benedict XVI in 2006.

  • The Temple of Artemis - The Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, was built in the 6th century BC. The temple took its final form in the 2nd century. With its size, it was the largest pagan belief center of the period. Although we can only see the basic structure and a single column and a few ruins today, it can be visited even to experience the current atmosphere.
  • Kusadasi Castle - The Kusadasi Castle, also known as Pigeon Island, is situated nearby to the port of Kusadasi. It is visible from your cruise ship, or you can opt to explore it independently after your tour.
  • Kusadasi Shopping Center - We will pass by the Kusadasi Shopping Center, which is conveniently located a mere 5-minute walk from the port. After the tour, you will have free time to explore on your own. Your guide will indicate the shopping area for you to enjoy at your leisure post-tour.
  • Okuz Mehmet Pasa KervansarayI - We will pass by the Caravanserai, situated close to the port, merely a 5-minute walk away. Following the tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the area on your own.
  • Kusadasi - End of the tour. We will return to the Kusadasi port where your ship is docked.

Great Experience with Tout Guide Eda Aksoy - Visited both Ephesus and Pamukale in one day with Best Ephesus Tours and Eda Aksoy as tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable on the history of each place and a delightful person to spend the day with. I had just come in from an overnight flight so I really appreciated that she encouraged me to sleep during the long ride between the two attractions. We had a wonderful lunch together with traditional Turkish food. I had no idea how hot it was going to be that day but she had an umbrella for me to protect from the sun. Driver was also excellent. I had emailed several tour companies about doing both atttactions in one day (as my itinerary was very tight) and some said it was not possible. The only other one that agreed to do it quoted a price much greater than Best Ephesus tours. It is definitely possible to do both attractions in a day (as long as you don’t need to see every aspect of each place) and I appreciate that Best Ephesus Tours and Eda Aksoy made it happen for me!

Best!! 👏 - We are really happy with the service provided by the Best Ephesus Tours. They were very punctual and so accommodating with our requests. We had the entire booking done virtually and glad we could trust the process. Mr. Omar executed and booked the entire tour, and very easy and clear in communicating. Our tour guide, Ms. Eda was lovely. She really was so prepared and informative that we got to know more about Ephesus, the history and also about Turkey and the culture in general. Glad we could speak to a native because it really helped us understand the lifestyle and their livelihood. Ms. Eda was friendly, approachable and also a good photographer. 🤗 Infact, she recommended us that we could book our Cappadocia tour with Mr. Omar again and happy to say he didnin a very short notice. We highly recommend her and the Best Ephesus Tours. Also not to miss, our driver Mr. Murad was so jolly.

A Fabulous Day - We had a wonderful day with Omer, he recommended us to start early to skip the crowd. He is so knowledgeable about the history but we are more appreciated the way he plan the tour. Having a day tour on such a busy day without waiting on lines was fabulous. My mom loved the traditional cuisine especially the mezes. Best Ephesus Tours highly recommended.
