Experienced local guide with lots of info about jogja - Jomblang cave was fine but one does especially for the photo. You pay mainly for being brought back and forth by a cheerful experienced local guide. We were with Arief, a fantastic man with whom we had then gone for coffee and who helped us with everything and everything. Definitely recommended, especially for people who want to learn about the culture and jogja!

Most beautiful cave views you'll ever see ✨ - This was probably one of my favorite experiences in Yogyakarta! I love anything with nature so this was a must experience and it didn't disappoint. The views were absolutely beautiful and it was one of those moments where you just feel like such a small part of a big world. It was truly incredible and I highly recommend it. All ages can definitely do this experience since there is only a little bit of a "hike". It's a little slippery but they'll give you boots to help with the terrain. Also, if you go don't forget to bring an additional 500k rupiah to enter the cave! The pick-up to and from your accommodation is convenient since you do not have to worry about anything like going to a meet-up place. My driver Mr.Yoss was super nice and we were able to stop at some side of the road stalls to try different local snacks. He gave some great recommendations in terms of food and activities and made my experience enjoyable :) Overall, I highly recommend it, you won't regret it!

Spectacular Spelunking in Jombalang - Great experience from start to finish. Our guide Andi picked us up at our hotel and walked us through the entire process. He also took pictures of us as we geared up and started our descent. My biggest concern had been about the safety of the gear and the training of the staff. The team conducted a safety briefing and apart from a few old helmets, had top notch equipment and protocols. The cave itself was a spectacular experience. It was like a scene from Jurassic Park minus the dinos. Don't forget to bring your own high powered flashlight. The longish trek from the initial crater to the photo spot is rocky, muddy and pitch black. The photo ops at the water/light fall are amazing and well worth the slog. You need to be patient depending on the number of guests in your group, but there are several points to take pictures. The guides will take your camera to capture the final look. This really was a highlight of our trip and we have breathtaking pictures to prove it.

Fascinating cave ! - A very good experience going 50m down to the cave, walk couple of hundreds meter and reach the destination like entering into another world. The view is fantastic ! It is a long ride to and fro from my hotel to the Cave. Luckily we have a good driver/guide to ferry and chat with us and offer us to take a break a a Coffee Luwak out to try the local nice cup of kopi Luwak.

Need to improve - So... cave is very nice, but organizers should think to improve this trip. This tip is too expencive. Why? 1. There was not rubber boots for my husband size. He can go with own sandals. 2. Toilet is very dirty. 3. Did not give flashlights. It is dark in the cave. Use your phone. It's not convenient. 4. The path in the cave could be made better and higher. 5. The attendants photographed some, others not - we didn't make it. 6. There is not always light in the cave - as seen in the advertisement. If there are clouds, there will be no light. It's nature.

Oops. Maybe next time. - on the way to the caves, the trip was cancelled because of some kind of problem at the caves. Instead I opted for the Mt. Marapi volcano trip. It was cloudy and although we got close to the volcano, it was cloudy so could not see it. Howver the tour guide Yuni was a delight to converse with.
