- Jeongbang Waterfall - Jeongbang Falls is one of Jejudo Island’s top three waterfalls, along with Cheonjiyeon Falls and Cheonjeyeon Falls. It is the only waterfall in Korea where water cascades directly into the sea. The fall stands 23 meters high, and the two streams of water that plunge down the black cliff create a thrilling sound and a stunning view. Additionally, the steep cliffs and ancient pine trees surrounding the fall create a picturesque scene, which has been selected as one of the Ten Scenic Sights of Yeongju, known as “Jeongbanghapok.” It is said that the words ‘Seobulgwacha’ are engraved on the cliffs of Jeongbang Falls.
- Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff - Jusangjeolli Cliff, located near the International Convention Center Jeju, is part of the Jeju Jungmun Resort, which boasts not only beautiful natural scenery but also numerous entertainment and convenience facilities for both domestic and international tourists. The cliff offers a breathtaking sight with its massive rock pillars running along the coastline.
- Oedolgae - Oedolgae, the starting point of Jeju Olle Trail Course 7, is a stone pillar that rises 20 meters high from the sea. Standing alone in the water, it was named ‘Oedolgae.’ It is also known as ‘General Stone’ and ‘Grandma Rock.’ According to legend, General Choi Yeong decorated this rock to resemble a general when fighting against the Yuan Dynasty, causing the enemy to self-destruct. For the origin of the name ‘Grandma Rock,’ read the legend below. The site not only features visible rocks but also reflects the life of Jeju people waiting for their loved ones at sea.
- Yongmeori Coast - The Yongmeori Coast is named because the beach resembles a dragon diving into the ocean with its head raised (“Yong” means dragon and “Meori” means head in Korean). Yongmeori is a sandstone bed formed by layers of sand deposited over tens of millions of years. The coast’s mysterious scenery is awe-inspiring. At the foot of the coast is a Hamel Monument, established by the Embassy of the Netherlands and the Korean Foundation on April 1, 1980, to strengthen diplomatic ties between Korea and the Netherlands and to commemorate the dedication and hard work of Hendrick Hamel.
- Songaksan Mountain - Songaksan Mountain features a cinder cone in the middle of the crater and a tuff ring. Its peak, which can also be considered its mouth, has a depth of 69 meters and has completely preserved its active form. While it was previously known only to those with archaeological interests, it has recently become part of a popular tour course, with many narrow paths leading to it. Songaksan Mountain was used as Japan’s forward operating base during its invasion of China and served as the last line of defense during the final hours of WWII. Ruins of airfields, hangars, and anti-aircraft artillery are scattered throughout, with 15 coastal trenches below the coastal cliff, four or five of which have naturally decomposed and pose falling hazards. The site has high preservation value because the cave was built using the shore cliff, and the trenches are located by the seaside, offering excellent ocean views.
- Sanbangsan Mountain - Sanbangsan Mountain is a trachytic tuff lava dome connected to the sedimentary layer of the Yongmeori Coast in the coast of Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon. It is a bell-shaped tholoid that stands tall in the plains of southwest Jeju, making it visible from anywhere in the area. It is encircled by Ilju Road, which connects Moseulpo Port and Hwasun-ri. Well-maintained stairs allow tourists to climb up to Sanbanggulsa Grotto, located on the southern face of Namsa-myeon. To reach the summit of Sanbangsan Mountain, you can use the trail behind the mountain, which leads to Deoksu-ri, Yonghae-dong.
- O’sulloc Tea Museum - The Osulloc Tea Museum, adjacent to the Seogwang tea field in Jeju, is the first tea museum in Korea, opened in 2001 by AMOREPACIFIC to introduce and promote tea and Korean traditional tea culture. It is a cultural space that harmonizes East and West, tradition and modernity, and includes a tea museum, a nature-friendly rest area, and a cafe where you can enjoy delicious and diverse tea-based menus.
- Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road - Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road, located on the northwest side of Jeju Island, features a distinctive offshore wind farm as a prominent landmark. The white windmills and emerald waters along the winding shoreline exemplify the autumn landscape and provide an environmentally friendly way to generate electricity. This road is also one of the most beautiful places to view the sunset in Jeju, so be sure to bring your camera! You can also find an Ecological Experience Center walking course along the coastal road. The observation deck midway along the walking course is a convenient place to rest and enjoy the view. Walk along the Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road and leave with many pleasant memories, and of course, a photo or two!
- Handam Coastal Trail - Handam Beach stretches along the coastline from Aewol-ri Village, at the northwestern edge of Jejudo Island, to Gwakji Gwamul Beach. Jeju Special Self-Governing Province developed this beach in 2001 as part of a coastline improvement plan to provide islanders and tourists with more diverse opportunities to enjoy the ocean. The plan prioritized creating harmony with the surrounding scenery. A 1.2-kilometer-long winding trail is paved along the beautiful coastline, designed to be as close to the ocean as possible. This is a very popular spot where visitors can enjoy a relaxing walk along the vast blue ocean. In July 2009, Jeju-si designated 31 sites that represent Jejudo Island, besides the already famous tourist sites, and Handam Beach was chosen as one of these 31 hidden views of Jeju-si.
