Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park - Imjingak Park – where tradition and spirituality unite
The Iron Horse train situated within Imjingak Park
Imjingak Park was established as a sanctuary to comfort refugees who moved from North to South Korea during the Korean War. A railway once connected the two nations but was dismantled during the conflict.
Here, visitors can find the Mangbaedan altar, where refugees pay respects to their ancestors, facing the direction of their graves. This tradition is observed during Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving).
Additionally, visitors can explore the Unification Pond, designed in the shape of the Korean peninsula, offering a picturesque spot for photography! Lastly, the Peace Bell is another attraction in this area.
Bridge of Freedom - The Bridge of Freedom – a historical journey

Continuing on the DMZ Half Day tour, the Freedom Bridge is next, constructed to free 12,773 prisoners in 1953. It was used by South Koreans returning from the North. Experience the cultural and emotional depth of this site by retracing their steps decades later!
Set against a stunning natural backdrop, the bridge is perfect for photos, inspiring visitors to capture lasting memories!
The Third Tunnel - Discover the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel
Inside the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel during the half day DMZ tour
A must-see on the itinerary is the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, located 12 kilometers from Munsan and 52 from Seoul, discovered in 1978.
Its intended use was to invade the south. Measuring 1,635 meters in length, 2 meters in height, and 2 meters in width, the tunnel could transport an entire division per hour!
Interestingly, when the tunnel was found, North Korea claimed the south had built it for a surprise attack, but evidence suggests otherwise. Walking through it feels like stepping back in time! Those uncomfortable with confined spaces can wait by the exit.
DMZ - DMZ Theater – history in motion

At the DMZ Theater, visitors can watch a brief 7-8 minute video about the Korean conflict. The video offers a South Korean perspective on the Korean War, the creation of the DMZ, and the current situation.
It also provides background on the infiltration tunnels dug by North Korea. Having just walked through the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, this should be quite enlightening.
Dora Observatory - Experience clear views at Dorasan Observatory
Perched atop Dorasan, the Observatory is perfect for viewing across the border. This is the closest point to the North and a favorite highlight for travelers on the tour! Enjoy a unique view of isolated North Korea on the Half Day DMZ tour!
Utilize the high-powered binoculars on the third floor for enhanced precision. Visitors can see the North’s propaganda village within the DMZ and as far as Gaesong, North Korea’s ninth-largest city. On a clear day, the bronze statue of Kim Il-sung may also be visible!
