Several rows of liquor crock pots in Sewollang, the garden in Sansawon, create a magnificent view. Old materials and books about the history of Korea’s liquor culture attract visitors. After touring the museum, visitors can try non-sterilized liquor of Baesangmyeon Brewery and join activity programs for making home-brewed liquor, fruit-based liquor, seasonal liquor, and more.
- 장안생활 - At the traditional makgeolli brewery, you’ll learn about the history and brewing process of Korea’s beloved rice wine. You’ll also have the opportunity to taste freshly brewed makgeolli. In addition, you can participate in a makgeolli-making experience, where you’ll craft your own traditional rice wine. Learn the secrets from master brewers and create your very own batch of makgeolli.

This tour offers a chance to witness the reality of division at the DMZ and learn about Korea’s traditional rice wine, makgeolli, through hands-on experiences. The itinerary includes options to visit the DMZ, Imjingak, the Peace Gondola, Camp Greaves, Dora Observatory, and Tongilchon, followed by a brewery tour and a makgeolli-making experience. It’s the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in Korea’s history, the reality of division, and traditional culture.
- This tour is ideal for adults aged 18 and over who can enjoy alcoholic beverages. However, minors under 17 are welcome to join if accompanied by an adult guardian.
